I turned into a pumpkin yesterday even though I clicked the right color before the timer was up. There was only about 4-5 seconds left on the current cycle but it told me it was already wrong and I lost out because of it. So if you do it too close to the timer, you can fail as well. Just something to pay attention to if there is only a few seconds left, just wait for the next one. Even minor sync issues with the server will cause you to fail.
