I'd go with the chakra on chase skill. Make u stronger each chase and lets you gaara r2 possiberu. Also make sure u have minato lvl 25 assist link skill. Puts him in a whole new ballpark of power. I dunno how ur server is but mine u play vs a lot of hans and 5ks so all the buffs get wiped.

id say kurenai is better there,in PVP you gonna have hard times,since gaara is squishy and without having insane res buffs and mood on him hell die eazily.

Gaara is still squishy in a front position, even more noticeable due to wind mains lack of consistent sustain. The issue is in part based on the age of your server, since it much harder to run buff heavy teams once Han and 5kMadara start becoming more common. Kurenai is valuable here since she has the sustain that wind main lacks by default, allowing for you to get more out of the team. Plus the chaos added from her skill books.
