1st case: the water main was using skewering + 3rd chase. In that case removes by herself root of warrior because is a buff.

2nd case: the azure fang was running shark bomb and used a ninja of any kind that removes buffs (shisui, masked man, edo roshi, han, edo yugito nii, itachi anbu, madara 5th summit, etc...) or applied a suppress immunity effect (kushina habanero, jiraya sannin era, etc...)

3rd case: you thought you were using root of warrior and you were not (happens).

@justsaiying: nin and res has nothing to do with immunity to debuffs. Control stat may be the only involved stat in it, but it ain't involved.

I suppose the immunty was suppressed. When an effect like kushina habanero mystery happens your immunity is suppressed for the whole round, so, even if you clear the debuff you can be controlled again during that round.
