Because 5 Kage-Summit Madara, is Obito pretending to be Madara. That's why 5KM is counted as Obito. Meaning: you could not play 5KM and Masked Man in the same team.

But for some reason, the game doesn't recognise the old school Tobi as Obito.


So if you want, you can put Tobi and 5KS Madara in the same team for the lols.

Hi! What was said above regarding the identity of Madara [Five Kage Conference] and Madara [Founder of Konoha] is correct. The reason why you can put both ninjas in the same lineup is because Madara [Five Kage Conference] is actually Obito in disguise (similar to Masked Man), while Madara [Founder of Konoha] is the true Madara.

Doesn't work (anymore?) I tried that before and both Tobi and Obito can't be on the team when 5k Madara is in there.
