Nope, that's why level freezing is mostly beneficial if you're able to pay to keep your power relevant, I've touched on this topic a few times in the past, wish I could just pop the post here.

Make sure you know what you're level freezing for- Sage world, if you aren't winning it there's very little point & it's even less necessary now with Sun & Moon as everything that gives Sun & Moon generally gives experience as well, it's the best free to play feature, what you get now by just doing daily's & events is substantially more than what one used to get.
