Kuro is right, life is sometimes really funny xD .. Why don't we just be happy and think it is a blessing rather than thinking that this is a joke .. They listened to what the community says about the feedbacks, where they say that this event should be buffed and make the RNG drop of onigiris better, and i know this because i'm one of this peoples who writes this down in their feedbacks ..

Points per frag of ninjas dropped, Onigiri gain gets better, the result is one happy community getting their rasengans and some yummy takoyaki

Its not because CN gave it for free, that will also happen to us .. Stop comparing this Free stuffs CN had and we didn't got .. Know the facts first why it is happening in CN and not in EN .. Be rationalized and logical when it comes to this matter .. Saying that kind of statements can only start toxic conversations and incite further commotions ..
