First of all, don't be impressed too much by Edo Hiruzen players from YouTube.

- Are you top sage player?

Yes, Edo Hiruzen is for you to go around and sweep for fast streak.

No, you can still use him for other role, i.e. support buffs and PvE.

If you're not top sage. He is still useful in team fights i.e. GNW, Ranked Battle and Bond. His 9 units buff is legit. His standard still smacks hard even if he's pos 2. His will passive allows him to be front line a little.

His chase 30 hits combo is not that difficult to achieve, since his mystery already does many hits and not dodgeable. He can still melt your enemy even if he's in support role.

His mystery got countered by Hokage Minato and stacked shield. You need to fight against player with and without Hokage Minato and you'll see damage reduction is very noticeable.

Easy simple Konoha-blitz team, Edo Tensei Team, etc.

Madara 5 Kage

IMO he's more for pvp. Round 2 1-shot. He's great buddy with Bond Minato and Edo Deidara, those who have self-scaling.

His dodge is unlimited but chase ONLY, which it gives advantage to interupt combo.

His mystery can be cc'ed. Vs someone with Itachi Susano you will have hard time.

His chase does a lot of damage, ignores some def and res (+ tag from Minato oh boy).

20-hit Chase is easier to achieve than 30-hit Edo Hiruzen.

I've seen some players used him in GNW. He can be double-edge sword if your enemies hit harder than you.

But which one to go for? Edo Hiruzen, because he's more fun and easier (cheaper) to build team with.

Madara 5 Kage is probably now meta. Effectiveness of Edo Hiruzen doesn't reduce much, because most of time Madara will be pos 2 anyway.

I simply picked Edo Hiruzen, because his utilities are more useful than Madara.
