Stuck on Katsuyu fight for exam 55 still, just can't get past it with Fire at 53.
My setup is Naruto*3, Neji*2, Lee*3, Fire*2.

I just don't know how to keep Neji alive at least one extra round as I keep dying at Katsuyu's last 2.5k HP.
Any advice?

Had to swap Lee for Kabuto and rotated Naruto clones with his.

For any Fire mains struggling with Exam Lv.60:
Completed it today using Hinata, Kakashi, and Neji.


Round One: Keep Auto turned OFF, start the fight waiting for Itachi to begin channeling his Tsukuyomi(Mystery), use Neji to interrupt this.
Round Two:
Use Hinata's Mystery FIRST, followed by Kakashi's Mystery.(You just need to activate the Mystery actions in this order.)
Round Three:
At this point, Itachi is either dead due to free combo initiated on round one by Hinata, or he should be nearly dead. Finish the job with Fire Style - Dragon Flame Jutsu(Fire Main). This combo will definitely take care of him.
Round Four:
Your going to want to make sure to use Neji's Mystery to lock Kisame from using his and continue to do what you can to kill him quickly.
Final Notes:
I'm not going to lie, I honestly cannot remember if it took two rounds to zerg Kisame down, but if you've killed him by this point you're almost there!
My final notes/suggestions are going to be to clean up the Taijutsu minion first, then finish off the Ninjutsu one. Do not be discouraged if you fail, I spent about 2 hours finding this method and working with it as it gave me the best results out of everything I had available to me. Ninja Exam level 64 Fire Main
Not going to lie, I think I lucked out here. But definitely doable using
Hinata*2, Karin*3, and Sasuke*3.





Strategy
Round One:
Begin the fight using Karin's Mystery, target the bottom-left Medical Ninja as your first prey and prepare for the second round.

Round Two:
Use your Fire Style - Dragon Flame Jutsu to start the round off. It may not kill her at this point, but should be alright none the less, ingite and poison should finish her off. Your job is pretty much done here. Click the bottom-right Medical Ninja now and prepare for the third round.

Round Three:
Again, open this round off with your Fire Style - Dragon Flame Jutsu. You will also want to activate Sasuke's Mystery at this point to prepare for finishing touches on the next, lowest HP target. (I suggest taking out the middle target first, the top will be controlled by your auto attacks mostly and kept slept for at least 60% of this fight.) If you got free combo's off on the middle enemy, he will likely have died by this point. However, he may also get revived as well just before you can take down the final Medical ninja.

I should note that around this point, Hinata was taken out. Only got T3 Magatamas loaded to my ninja squad so was a bit rough. Also didn't help that she was only a 2-star, but that will be fixed soon.

Round Four:
At this point you might still have both male fighters standing, the middle one being the lowest. Finish him off with Sasuke's Mystery to initate the combo(will be weaker depending on if Hinata was defeated or not). However, he will be taken out still.

Final Notes:
Literally, I mean it when I say I must have been lucky, as my Fire Main was the only one standing after those four rounds. With a sliver of HP, I let myself auto attack only to sleep lock/lower the final male ninjas HP until the beginning of Round Ten and I finished him with my Fire Style - Dragon Flame Jutsu...

Ninja Exam level 65 Fire Main
Hinata*3, Karin*3, and Sasuke*3.





Strategy
Round One:
Use Hinata's Mystery to start things off, select Jiraiya as your first target.

Round Two:
Use your Fire Style - Dragon Flame Jutsu to initiate your combo and take Jiraiya down. Select Naruto as your next target.

Round Three:
Use your Fire Style - Dragon Flame Jutsu once more to combo down Naruto. From this point on, just do clean up duty.

Final Notes:
Pretty straight forward fight, can tweak the Talents a bit for extra damage(Use "Red Lotus Secret" if you are looking to deal more damage. It buffs you, Hinata, and Sasuke.) Hope this helps, good luck!

Ninja Exam level 70 Fire Main
Naruto*3, Guy*3, and Iruka*3.




Strategy
Round One:
Initiate the fight using Fire Style - Phoenix Fire Jutsu and wait for Round Two...

Round Two:
Use your interrupt to cancel Jiraiya's Toad Flame Bombs (Mystery), and wait for the next round.
For me, I used Guy's interrupt first since he kept dying every single attempt against Gamabunta. Which whome I was fighting by the start of Round Three.

Round Three:
This comes down to Random Number Generator so expect things not to go according to plan...
Anyways, begin this round using Fire Style - Phoenix Fire Jutsu as well as Naruto's Rasengan. You will get swiped at twice, if lucky the clones will soak one swipe and the rest of your team (if hit) should survive, barely. Use Iruka's interrupt for the Water Bomb which takes place shortly after the double swipe.

Final Notes:
Iruka wasn't a fair pick to use for making a guide, but if you got the time/patience to get your Power as close to the recommendation as possible, use Neji in his place. Other than that, it really just boils down to luck as the targets chosen are picked by a Random Number Generator.

The best advice I can give aside this is to keep trying. I just spent another hour today experimenting with this same team lineup and I rolled a lucky run as Guy lived with a sliver of health and I was able to lock that last Water Bomb and finish him off.

There isn't any way around RNG's for fights such as these, just keep at it! I should also make one last note; do not forget to swap from Enhancement of Fire Style Ninja to Red Lotus Secret if you do not have Iruka and choose to use Neji in his place. Best of luck to you all!!

Yeah, happened to me as well. So I am wondering if the help text is inaccurate and perhaps suggests a "chance to interrupt" or that he seems to resist interruption under some odd condition. Actually trying to clear this for a friend too. But Guy did interrupt him on my run. Iruka was the second interruption.

If I had to guess though, maybe something happened during their update, perhaps place a bug report. Otherwise I'm not sure what else it could be.
Edit:
Should give the above strategy a go if you have Sai(Obtained with Ranked Currency from Shop). Generally will have 4 clones on the field for the most part this way.

Strategy
Round One:
Begin with your Main's Fire Style - Phoenix Fire Jutsu, targeting the Yellow Puppet(Ninjutsu, respectfully). As long as Ignition reflects back to it, you will be alright.

Round Two:
Use Naruto's Rasengan Shuriken on the Yellow Puppet. This will bring both Puppets completely to zero HP or one hit from it. (Note: It is possible that Hidan can attempt to channel his Mystery on this round so you may need to use Guy to interrupt this.)

Round Three:
Assuming things went off without a hitch and you burned the two Puppets down with Naruto's Rasengan Shuriken, you'll want to be targeting Kakazu prior to the start of Round Three and tapping that hotkey to use Guy's interruption on him. (Not sure if I was lagging, but some runs he immediately channeled his attack before I could react so this was my way around that.)

Round Four:
Focus down Hidan at this point, for the most part your Main will sleep control Kakazu for the time being. You're just about there!

Round Five:
It comes down to cleanup duty now, go all out on Kakazu and finish off the fight.

Final Notes:
I'd like to point out once more, the credit of this strategy does not belong to me, I only altered the character used in place of Zabuza since I did not have him. Certain enough however, I do believe Neji, and perhaps Shino could fit in this spot as well. (Just be careful on positioning so none of his leech are in the bottom row.)

I'd like to also add that, I probably should have picked a different Summon, but everything was working out alright that I kind of didn't notice it missing for the most part.

Just cleared this using Ino*2, Naruto*3, and Shikamaru*2, no cultivation or anything special. Just awakened them to purple. Interesting idea. I am going to post my setup itself just below with what I used for my Summon/Combo with Ino, Naruto, and Shikamaru.

Round One:
Using your Main's Sealing Jutsu - Seal of Red Lotus on Karin, Ino will Combo with Chaos(Must Land). Following this your main must sleep Jugo in the following turn with his Feather Illusion Jutsu(Auto attack), Ino must land Chaos once more.
The final step of this round is to use Ino to Chaos Sasuke. It must land!

Round Two:
Using Shikamaru to Immobilize Sasuke and prevent his channeling from finishing, this will cause Ino to combo with Chaos(once again it must land). This ultimately ends this round.

Round Three:
Finish Jugo off asap if Sasuke hasn't, while at the same time rotate your Mysteries on Sasuke so that Ino combo's into Chaos on him from this point forward. Once Jugo is down, take Karin out and keep the same plan rolling until Sasuke is down.

It actually didn't take me more than about 30 or so tries to do this with Ino*2 and Shikamaru*2. I never touched either character until today. I only went as far as to awaken them both to purple and upgraded their star level to 2. No cultivation or mood upgrades used. Dropped my power by 2k for this exam.

Which ninja can you use that you have been keeping up to par via; Awakening, Cultivation, etc.?
If memory serves, is it 4 Green Puppets or 2 Green and 2 Yellow?

I'd suggest a team using Naruto*3 usually as he can deal Taijutsu and Ninjutsu damage as well as Rasenshuriken with is heavy AoE Taijutsu/Ninjutsu damage.(Requires 2 clones to be present for that, so place carefully.)

Hinata is alright for drawing their attacks while waiting for Round 2 to use Rasenshuriken and she will combo off it as well. Acupuncture can be handy sometimes, but that's not the goal.

Those two themselves work well for Puppet Exams. Sometimes you only really need Naruto though and can replace Hinata for more damage or a healer, etc..

Anyways, without knowing what you have to work with I can't give you much more advice than this.

Alright, well. I believe you can get away with Naruto*3, Iruka, and Tobi. Tobi is really broken right now and should work wonders in that fight. As for a lineup(numbers beside the name represent placement rearrangement order once you have them on the field already)

Fire Iruka Oboro Clone(Fire)
Tobi X Naruto
X X X

Now the reason why rearranging order will matter is simply because it is the order in which buffs are used.
What this will do is: Fire will summon his Oboro Clone 1st, Naruto will summon his 3 Shadow Clones 2nd, Iruka will Shield the Konoha Ninja(applies to clones as well) and Attack/Ninjutsu buff them, and finally we got Tobi who doesn't do any sort of clone or buff.

This team should rip right through the Yellow Puppets easily. Now Talents are up to you at this point. Fire Style - Phoenix Fire Jutsu could be a better pick than Dragon Flame Jutsu as well unless you can work out a combo for Tobi and Fire Main.

I used something different to be honest, I think it was Chiyo instead of Tobi. I can't quite remember, but this team I suggest sounds legit. Clones will all get a 1k+ shield so pop Rasenshuriken on Round 2.

Good work on the win, I actually was wondering if you can break down the strategy for winning this fight. I have an Azure friend that is trying to beat this and they are at the same power(if not more than) what you completed it with.

Edit They were wondering what kind of refinement level your equipment was at as well. Maybe include possible cultivating levels etc. as well.

So would I be correct to suggest the order in which you defeat them is: Suigetsu, Jugo, Karin, and findally Sasuke?

Ninja Exam level 90 Fire Main
Hinata*5, Naruto*3, and Tobi*3




Strategy
Round One:
Use Hinata's Mastery skill, target Kisame and wait for the next round.

Round Two:
Quickly use Tobi's Mastery skill on Kisame, then click on Sasori and use your Main's Mastery skill to seal and stop his Puppet Summoning.

Round Three:
This can vary on who you target, but generally you want to target and finish Kisame ASAP using Naruto's Mastery skill. By the end of this round, both Kisame and Sasori should be down.

Round Four:
Target Itachi and use Tobi's Mastery skill. The plan from this point forward is to focus your firepower on taking down Itachi as quickly as you can. Use your Main's Mastery skill to interrupt Itachi's Mastery skill as well.

Final Notes:
A lot of this relies on quite a bit of luck, but none the less is doable. Tobi needs to dodge at least 2 of Deidara's Mastery skills or just one if Itachi is taken out quickly. I would like to point out that Naruto was not awakened to a Gold+2 like the rest of my team. He was only Gold, everyone else was Gold+2.

I do hope that this helps or at least points some of you in the general direction on how to complete Exam 90. If you have the patience to keep trying the fight, you can win for certain with this team. It's just reliant on Tobi evading Deidara at least once or twice. Happy hunting guys!

What kind of ninja do you have available?
One way to "cheese" wins from 86-89 is using Tobi and Naruto(maybe Kankuro as well or Hinata) and ignition/poison down the puppet that is weak to specific elements while you focus the other 3 down.

I did most of them using Naruto, Tobi, and Iruka(easily can replace Iruka though for something more practical tbh).

But yeah, making sure to use someone who can perma ignition that one puppet works. Just experiment with positioning so it feels comfortable to you on each exam to the point you think can work with it.

I'd like to also point out that Bani Chakra is amazing for this too as it removes their Attack buff and ignitions them(though still random target, but doesn't matter if the last target is the one you cannot damage without specific element).

Ninja Exam level 85 Fire Main
Kimimaro*4, Guy*4, and Tsunade*3



Summon: Chameleon

Strategy
Round One:
Can't really do too much here, so nothing special to note for this.

Round Two:
Use Guy's Mastery skill asap when round starts to interrupt Orochimaru. Wait for your Main to begin his standard attacks animation on Orochimaru then use your Mastery skill to initiate a combo on him before the round ends.

Round Three:
Orochimaru should be pretty low on life at this point so that Guy can quickly finish him.(Depends on your power really.) If he has a good amount of life still, go ahead and pop Kimimaro's Mastery skill to initate another combo that should otherwise finish him off.

Manda
Round Four and Beyond:
Manda is going to chomp at your team, but if you have atleast around 20~21k power, they should be fine/survive. Use Tsunade's Mastery skill along with your Main at this point. He will start channeling his tail swipe that you will want to use Guy to interrupt.

You cannot defeat Manda while inside of his stomach so show a bit of restraint here, but use Kimimaro Mastery skill to get as much life back as possible. Should be able to use at least once before he spits you back out and should be off cooldown again when this happens. You will need it to finish Manda off after he spits your team out.

Just be sure to use Tsunade's Mastery skill as soon as you can to force a heal from her every chance you get when fighting Manda, and do your best to get him to around 2.2k life while in his stomach. This way Kimimaro can generally finish him off once he spits you out.

Final Notes:
It has been a while since I did this Exam, but if you are still confused. I will refer you to the video I found this strategy from. I do remember my Power was at around 21k though when I completed this.
Kimimaro was only Gold+1 awaken as well and Tsunade was just Gold. Guy was Gold+2 I think, aside that I was level 75 otherwise on all ninja for the fight. Hope this helps and the video will be just below.
