how do you get the r&d chips

Everytime the experience bar on the top part of your screen gets full, you will get 1 R&D Chip .. (the exp bar with running fast numbers continuously)

~ But if the R&D Machine Level reaches its Maximum Level, you'll need to pay Group Funds to buy Chips .. (how much, i don't know yet)

~ To increase the maximum level of your R&D Machine Level, Upgrade your R&D research on the Upgrade Tab in your Group Inteface .. (the window where you upgrade Group Rank, Group Wheel and Group Skills)

#. Update : Cross-Server Great Ninja War - Gift Pack Mastery

So this week we have this Cross Ninja War placed on our Phase 3 Mastery and it is in effect this week .. And to day, we got 13 packs as the Mastery said .. So conclusion, It works :D

Now, i saw someone asking about something about this R&D Mastery and i'll answer it here ..

#. Yeah, it is really confusing at first but we as community who is concerned with this feature for our group shall help each other to figure out things so i will help as long as i can and update this thread as long as i discover new things about this feature

#. Second, anyone know if there a cool down at all? Or we need to switch it every week to something else or? - Cooldown, now that i'm learning this Mastery things, there is no cooldowns for Mastery, we can continue using it every week as we please, but of course, to have different experiences each week, we may opt to change some of our cards since as of now, we only have limited slots for each phases as we go collect some chips and activate mastery blocks ..

#. Third, we got 3 extra for the first week we used it (last week), But this week we didn't get the 3 extra we thought we should. We not sure it just our standalone bug or ? - We have two types of Gift Pack Mastery, one for Cross-Server and one for Local GNW .. And technically, Week1 and Week3 of the month are the Local GNW weeks while Week2 and Week4 are the Cross-Server GNW weeks .. I assume that's what the reason is why you received 3 extra packs last week and not this week since this week is Cross-Server GNW week ..

No, you need to be qualified and fight in xGNW of course, to get the packs .. but if i am right then, technically the weeks 1 and 3 are the Local Weeks and weeks 2 and 4 are the Cross-Server weeks .. so that makes sense why you didn't get extra packs .. so, if you will see the "2 weeks duration" of that Mastery, you can say it that it is also served as the cooldown for the Mastery ..

Anyways, i think it is for the best interest of the community here if the MODS will answer those questions. Many people are confused with this. JIB, DAISKE, MODS SENPAIS, pls do answer and clarify these things. We appreciate QV's thread but we need your enlightenment on this. Nowhere in the rules on R and D Technology you can find what QV said. THE COMMUNITY NEEDS TO KNOW THE GAME DEVS POSITION ON SAID ISSUES ON ACCOUNT OF AMBIGUITY.

his reasoning seems logical. the week he mentioned is the system preset of the game for gnw weeks and xgnw weeks and i never saw xgnw during the first week of the month but it good if we hear answer from mods to.

I feel like they should change it so those that can't/don't participate in xGNW at least still get 3 extra boxes- I find it pretty unreasonable to expect everyone to be able to achieve the ability to play in xGNW, my server is perhaps able to if the 2 current top guilds merge, but I see no reason why we should have to as that would cut down the boxes that people get even further.

It is okay and should stay like that, the way it is now is balanced .. If the GNW Mastery can give 3 extra packs for 2 weeks for the group who competes in GNW only then the xGNW Mastery will be left behind, because xGNW only occurs every other week .. The only thing i find in this Mastery that needs changes is the description to "Only effects for the 1 week and has 1 week cooldown" description .. Also, we all know competing in xGNW is pretty hard and if you lose, the results of packs is drastic ..

Is it though? Can't you just replace the card on the 2nd week, I admit I haven't tried.

If you can compete in GNW & XGNW then can't you just alternate between both of the cards each week.
Use the one for GNW & the one of xGNW for when it's xGNW week- assuming that's how it works.

People that can't compete in xGNW can only utilize the GNW card, thus only getting 3 every 2 weeks, compared to the 6 that those who can participate in both get.

Unless I'm wrong & the "Last 2 weeks" means you can't replace the card on the 2nd week to replace it with a xGNW card- If that's the case, then it's balanced.

I haven't tried yet too .. But if the case of the Extra Packs is like the Cat Quiz Mastery that removes 1 and 2 wrong answers then the answer is, it is not possible to use them both at the same week .. Lets see and wait for this coming weeks to find out if we c*e the GNW and xGNW Mastery in the same week ..

Well, with the cat quiz it makes sense.

With the GNW card & the xGNW card you don't need to use them on the same week, those events happen on seperate weeks & you change cards on a weekly basis, so what's stopping us from using the GNW card on the first week, then changing it to the xGNW on the 2nd week, thus getting 6 total elite boxes.

I haven't taken the xGNW card, but next research I will take it & see if they can be switched out every week, because if they can then it's imbalanced & unfair tbh.

Okay, i think i get what you mean now .. You cannot replace or change any Mastery that is in Effect .. GNW and xGNW Mastery are both have 2 Weeks Effect Duration .. In my group's case, we set and placed xGNW Mastery last last week, and it took effect last week, resulting to getting additional 3 elite packs last saturday after the xGNW Finals, and now is the 2nd week of the xGNW Mastery in effect and can set a new one now ..

It means, my group can only Set xGNW again because next week is xGNW week again .. and the question for my group now is, if we set Local GNW Mastery for next week, can we get 3 addtional packs on the 2nd week of the Mastery? .. since next week is xGNW week ..

And for your question, no, we cannot switch this 2 Mastery weekly .. This is what they mean by the "cooldowns" of Mastery and logically speaking, they will not allow us to abuse such privileges like having extra packs weekly .. Refer to what ICEx said above too ..
