Edo Minato isn't a counter for kakuzu. Edo Itachi is the counter.
Edo minato, thanks to his bond barrier, is a direct counter of edo hiruzen in DB (no 40 chakra turn 1). Damage and utility wise, Edo Minato > Edo Fuu.
His immunity to debuffs, paired with a certain hit prompt mystery which interrupts all the targets, is great for gnw and ranked. Pairing him + edo hashirama would make you able to interrupt the whole enemy field. 3 rounds CD is a bit too much, imo they should have left minato's interaction with tag, maybe making his mystery a 2 rounds CD if the target was tagged.
In 1v1 he could be used as a pos 3-4 to counter Ay 4th teams, since no "me
ta" Ay team uses a ninja capable of overriding him... which prevents Ay to go full yolo until turn 4. -
