Kurama naruto is op as move 1 ninja only in arena. Outside arena he is not meant at all to be move 1 and if you use it as move 1 you are mistaking (even the roshi bee earth main lineup works way better outside arena with roshi as move 1 and kurama as move 2).
A team that is really effective against most of the lineups currently used with him not in move 1?

That’s the funny thing. Most people in our servers and cluster that got Kurama never use him except for maybe Matsuri or Arena, while I often see Madara in a lot of places. I guess event ninjas are meant to be better xD (even though they’re cheaper).
Because they pretend to use him as a move 1 ninja. He is not meant to be a move 1 ninja and is not a fast ninja since hits low, so they do not use him in swb, but he is a very good auto ninja for space time, a good option for matsuri, successful plundering avoiding and space time finals and he is op in arena. This game is not limited to swb and beware that even if konan angel of god is generally better she requires a 2nd ninja to apply immobile via mystery and is not immune to debuffs, so a shisui or an itachi susano'o may mess with her very easily while they cannot do it with kurama.
And beware that is a senjutsu user while madara is not so once edo hashi becomes more common you'll see how useful he is, overall in gnw.
P.S. do you want a relatively easy achievable team with him that is also acceptabily fast in swb?
Kushina habanero, gaara kk, him and earth main. Two ccs per round, gaara immume for 4 rounds and kushina that stacks to infinite thanks to the shields.
