Battle Chat, along other statues of the game is connection based.

You can remain connected to the game itself and disconnect from the chat, vice versa.

A simple refresh can fix the issue at hand.

And judging from your prior history of posts, it does seem like you suffer from a sense of connectivity at times.

Please be aware of it and occasionally clear your cache/cookies and refresh after prolonged periods of playing.
