Path to Greatness

Midnight Blade was raised in a rough community as a child. He had a lot of bad influences on him but he didn’t let it affect him and his focus on soccer. Even as a child he loved soccer, that was all he could think about even as he slept. There was one problem though. There was a league for talented soccer players but to be able to enter you would need ingots. Midnight Blade didn’t have the riches the other kids had. Midnight Blade was mad at the fact that he couldn’t join the league he longed dreamed of joining. One night Midnight Blade thought to himself and said “If I’m going to join that league I better start saving up.” So Midnight Blade saved up for 2 years straight and he finally had the money to join the league he dreamed of his whole life. Midnight Blade had to go to the tryouts the league was having. When Midnight Blade arrived to the tryouts he saw many contestants. Midnight Blade was 5th in line. Midnight Blade was nervous. He knew this was his only chance to show people what he can do. Finally, it was Midnight turn. He had to start of with speed drills. The clock counted down 3,2,1 GO. Midnight Blade zoomed through the drill. He broke the world record for speed. He performed everything just right and quick too. Each judge gave him a 10. A day past since the tryouts and he received a call from ones of the teams from the league. He got recruited by a team called Oasis. There first game was in a week and Midnight Blade was excited and nervous. Midnight Blade trained everyday of his life for this opportunity. He said to himself “Hard work does pay off.” His first practice was in 2 days. He was eager to meet his teammates. Two days passed and it was time to go to practice. Once he got there his teammates greeted him and applaud him for making the team. He was so happy. After practice was over he went to celebrate with his teammates. They had a great night. A week passed and it was game time. Midnight Blade was very excited and nervous. His teammates told him to get in the huddle so he did. They all chanted “WHO'S HOUSE?! OUR HOUSE!.” Midnight Blade felt welcomed and ready to start the game. Right before the game started the opposing team called night dragons started smack talking to the rookie. Midnight Blade teammates told him not to worry about them but to pay attention to the game. The game started. Midnight Blade was benched because it was just first game. Night dragons scored 3 goals in the 1st half and the 2nd half was getting started. Coach Tobei put Midnight Blade in the game. He was ready. The 2nd half started and Midnight Blade was passed the ball and he dashed through the defense. The defense couldn’t stop him. He made it to the night dragons goal. Midnight Blade kicked the ball and it went in! GOALLLLLL!! The commentator said. It was still 1 to 3. Night dragons were up by 2 goals. Night dragons had the ball they were heading towards the goal. They were ready to shoot the ball but then what seemed to be a lighting bolt came zooming through the field and blocked the ball from going in. It was Midnight Blade! Oasis was on the attack now. Midnight Blade through a perfect pass to his teammate and his teammate scored a goal. The crowd went wild! There was only 5 minutes left in the game. Oasis had the ball. Night dragons were playing excellent defense. Oasis had a difficult time scoring. Midnight Blade received the ball again and was inside the goal box. One of the Night Dragon players tackled him hard and it was a penalty. The crowd silenced. Everyone was nervous. Midnight Blade was getting ready to shoot the ball. BOOM…….. GOAL!!!! It was tied game. There was only a minute left in the game. Night Dragons had the ball they were heading towards the goal but one of the Oasis players stole the ball and passed it to Midnight Blade. There was 15 seconds left. Midnight Blade was dashing to the opposite goal. He went left and right going through the defenders. The clock was counting down. 5 seconds left. Midnight Blade right in front of the goal. 5,4,3,2,1 and Midnight Blade shoots it. Everyone was silent no noise at all. You could see the ball in mid air heading towards the goal. The commentator shouts “GOAL!!” and the ref blew the whistle. GAME OVER. Oasis has WON the commentator said. Midnight Blades teammates ran down to the field and carried him on their shoulders. The crowd chanted Lighting Bolt, Lighting Bolt , Lighting Bolt.Midnight Blade truly put on a excellent performance the commentator said. After that game the the General Manager called Midnight Blade into his office. Midnight Blade was nervous. Midnight Blade walked into his office. The general manager named Daiske handed Midnight Blade a paper. Once Midnight Blade saw that the paper wasn't just an ordinary paper but a paycheck he freaked out. The check had the numbers 3 million ingots written on it. Right at that moment he thought of his hometown and where he grew up at. He also thought of many kids that are just like him growing up in the slums. He started a charity event for children that are in need and contributed 1 million ingots! That same year Midnight Blade took Oasis to the World Cup and Won it. Midnight Blade was announced MVP.

This is a short story I thought I might as well post it on here for you to read:

The stadium was filled with people. The KONOHA were playing the HIDDEN MIST to decide who would dominate the National League East. In the clubhouse, the room was full of uncertainty.

“I’m so nervous!” exclaimed (Scarlet Blaze ).

“Don’t worry,” (Midnight Blade ), (Crimson Fist). “You’ll do fine.”

“I remember my first game,” recalled (Kakashi) . “I came up with the bases loaded in the sixth. I got a great pitch and crushed it. It went into the gap and I got a triple out of it.”

“Okay guys,” the KONOHA skipper,(Naruto) said. The docile team turned toward (Naruto) .

“This is probably the most important game of your lives. All of you have the potential to be someone great. Prove it tonight. Winning this game will bring us closer to achieving our ultimate goal—winning the World Series. So let’s get out there and win us a ball game!”

“Yeah!” shouted the team in response. With that, the players ran out onto the field.

The first inning started with(Scarlet Blaze) at second base.

“Okay,” he said to himself. “You can do this. It’s just like at Reading only here the players are less fickle.”

The first pitch was sharply hit to the third baseman, (Chojuro). He fielded it cleanly, but then had a wild throw to first. The runner stayed where he was at first base. The next batter stepped up.

“You cover on a steal!” (Scarlet Blaze) shouted to (Ao), the shortstop.

On the next pitch, the runner was off. (Scarlet Blaze) ran to backup Shim.

Wait,(Scarlet Blaze) thought. (Ao) doesn’t speak English! (Scarlet Blaze) started to run towards second. He caught the throw coming in from the catcher and dove for the bag. He put the tag on the runner.

“Yer out!” shouted the ump.

“Yeah!” shouted (Scarlet Blaze). That was close, he thought. The next batter struck out and the batter after him grounded out to (Ao). (Scarlet Blaze) grabbed a bat because he was leading off.

“Well if it isn’t the rookie,” the catcher said as he stepped up. “Don’t miss, okay?”

“Don’t let him tamper with your mind!” shouted ( Azure Fang ) from the on-deck circle. “Ignore him!”

The first pitch was way outside. The second and third pitches were strikes and the two after that were *. The count was full and (Scarlet Blaze) swung at the last pitch. He missed strike three.

“Forget it,” ( Azure Fang ) said as he walked back to the dugout. “You’ll get it next time.” No one threatened to score until the fifth inning when the Mets had men at second and third with one out.

“Come on!” (Scarlet Blaze) shouted at his second base position. “We can get out of this!” The first was hit sharply to him. He fielded it masterfully and gunned it towards home plate. The catcher caught it and put the tag on the runner.

“Yer out!” shouted the ump.

“Yeah!” (Scarlet Blaze )shouted. “What a play!” The next batter grounded out and the inning was over.

In the bottom of sixth, (Scarlet Blaze) had his third at bat. In his second at bat, he got a double. He crushed the first pitch to deep center. The centerfielder got a great jump on it and made a great shoestring catch near the wall. It was the last out.

“Aw!” (Scarlet Blaze) whined. As the centerfielder jogged in, he said, “Nice catch.”

“Thanks,” the centerfielder replied. (Scarlet Blaze) decided to be tactful to everyone while I played because that was the way the game should be played.

In the bottom of the ninth, the score was still tied, 0-0. He came up one last time with two outs and no one on. He was incredibly nervous.

“Okay, I can do this,” (Scarlet Blaze) said over and over. He stepped up to the plate. The first pitch was a ball and the next, a strike. The third was in the dirt and the fourth wasn’t much better. The count was 3-1 and the fifth pitch looked good so he swung. He crushed it into the gap and took off for first.

As (Scarlet Blaze) rounded first, he saw that the ball was still in the outfield. He put on the afterburners and slid head first into third. He was safe.

“Oh yeah!” (Scarlet Blaze) shouted. One run and the KONOHA would win! He looked at the pitcher’s delivery and found the error that he was looking for. On the second pitch, he took off for home. The pitcher was so shocked that he threw the ball too high. Instead off sliding, ( Scarlet Blaze) barreled into the catcher. The ball rolled out of the backstop’s glove.

“SAFE!” shouted the ump.

The other KONOHA charged out to meet (Scarlet Blaze) at the plate. He helped win a substantial victory for the team by stealing home! The KONOHA were going to the playoffs!

Breezy's Hot Blooded Sport Festival

-inside of a classroom-

'It's that time of year again...' thought Breezy as she's looking outside of the classroom window. She sees many people are walking around the school courtyard, and among them are Naruto and Sasuke, wearing their soccer attire.

'Aren't they tried of playing that boring ball game over and over again?' thought Breezy again.

"Aren't you tried of doing nothing but stare at the window like a no-lifer?" another voice suddenly heard from behind Breezy, surprising her. She then quickly turn around, only to see Tayuya sitting behind her, with a bowl of ramen on her table.

"Tayuya, can you just stop reading my mind? It's kinda like a breach of privacy you know" asked Breezy.

"Haha! Sorry. Anyway, why don't you just go and do something productive for at least once? Today is the start of Hot Blooded Sport festival week and many students are doing whatever the best they can do, and here you are just sitting on your table doing nothing but play video games on your phone until the event end" scolded Tayuya.

"Well, how about you then? All you do is eating ramen and wait until the events end" retorted Breezy.

"Me? I'm part of the Tennis player, and the Tennis competition just ended few minutes ago, so I got nothing else to do but wait until the winner announcement" explained Tayuya.

"Oh... well... good for you I guess" said Breezy as she then turn around and take out her phone from her pencil case to play some games.

"Breezy! Seriously! If you keep doing this, you're going to lose your image and become fat! At least do one of the competition! There are some competition left for tomorrow, and some of them are swimming competition, basked ball competition, volleyball competition, and running competition! The registration for those are still up and if you can win one of the competition you can get some rewards! Like the one stated in the announcement of this thread for example" said Tayuya.

"Really? 20 Hot Blooded Festival fragments? Not interested, beside I already have a bunch of coupons ready to buy all the fragments, and I can just wait until the price drop to buy it" said Breezy as she continue to play a video game on her phone. Tayuya then facepalm on that regard, but suddenly she got an idea.

"Hey, what if I tell you. Beside that free 20 costume fragments (or even lower fragments count, since I think this fanfic gonna lose anyway) you can get a lot of coupons too" whispered Tayuya to Breezy's ear. Suddenly, Breezy paused whatever game she's playing right now, and slowly turn around to face Tayuya.

"Are... are you serious?" asked Breezy.

"Yes! I believe they told me that the number one winner will get fifty thousands coupons, doesn't matter what competition you join! (Well, in this fanfic, not in the actual prize for the winners of this thread)" answered Tayuya, with a much more energetic tone this time. Breezy suddenly get fired up.

"TELL ME IF I CAN STILL JOIN THAT VOLLEYBALL COMPETITION!" exclaimed Breezy as she stand up and slams her hands on Tayuya's table.

"Relax, relax! Geez... yes you still can register for it. Just go ask mister cyclops (Kakashi) and he will assign you to a volley team" said Tayuya.

"Thanks! I'll be going now!" Breezy then quickly run out of the classroom to search for Kakashi, leaving a shocked Tayuya and several other students behind.

"I didn't know she can run that fast..." said Sakura as she stare at the classroom door, where Breezy just left.

"Never judge a book by it's cover, pinky" said Tayuya.

-in the school hallway-

Breezy is now seen running in the school hallway. Her pace become gradually faster and faster as she's getting closer to the teachers room. As Breezy getting closer to the teachers room, the door suddenly opened, and Breezy make an emergency brake, but to no avail she slipped on the wet floor and fall faceplated on the floor.

"Breezy? What are you doing here?" asked Kakashi, as he closes the door.

"Mister Kakashi!" Breezy quickly get up on her feet and clean some dirt on her orange jacket and long skirt. After she's done cleaning her clothes, she then take a deep breath, and...

"I NEED TO JOIN THE VOLLEYBALL COMPETITION! I WANT TO GET TH- OUCH!" Breezy's dialogue got cut by Kakashi hitting her on the head with a book he's holding.

"No screaming in the hall, young lady, especially if you're close to the teachers room" said Kakashi.

"Sorry... anyway I need to register for the volleyball competition!" said Breezy. Kakashi can just stare at her with a half-opened eye.

"This is... a surprising turn of event..." said Kakashi.

"What's wrong?" asked Breezy.

"It's just... I didn't think you would want to join an event, since you're usually would just slack off in the classroom and do nothing but playing with your phone" said Kakashi.

"Uh... Tayuya told me that I can have a chance to win some coupons if I join one of the competition, and I kinda need some so I can get Masked Man in my team or maybe buying a skillbook for my Tobirama, so I thought I could try and win the volleyball since I'm good at it?" explained Breezy.

"Oh, I see... well, I believe there's one more team for you, and it's team Tenten. She's has some talented Volleyball players in that team, so I think it would be very fitting to put you there since you're a talented Volleyball player as well" said Kakashi.

"Thanks mister Kakashi!" said Breezy.

"Wait! You're not in her team yet, first we need to go and ask them if she agree for you to be in her team. If she doesn't agree, then I'm afraid you cannot join the volley competition. If that's the case, you still can join the other competitions anyway" said Kakashi.

"Uh... okay? Can we go and see her now?" asked Breezy.

"Sure, just follow me" said Kakashi.

-inside the Volleyball room-

Kakashi and Breezy is now seen entering the giant volley room. In there, they can see Tenten and her teammates taking a break after a training session.

"Well, there they are, let's see if she will accept you on her team now" said Kakashi, as he's start walking toward the group, followed by Breezy.

"Um, ladies, can I have a moment please?" asked Kakashi.

"Mister Kakashi? Yeah sure, why not" answered Ino. The others instantly stop chatting and pay attention to what Kakashi about to say to them

"Breezy over here wanted to join the volleyball competition, and your team is the only one that need one more player. Is it okay for her to join?" asked Kakashi. The others started to whispers to each other after that, making Breezy become nervous.

"Oh, Breezy? Sure, we'll welcome her with open arms!" Tenten's voice suddenly heard from among the crowd.

"Really? Well there you go Breezy, no-"

"If she can win a volleyball battle with me first! Don't worry you won't be alone, some of my members will be your companion just to make it even!" said Tenten.

"Sure, I'll take the challenge! So who are my companions?" asked Breezy.

"Hmm... how about Ino and Kin? You guys can help her out right?" asked Tenten.

"Yeah sure, I guess. No problem at all" answered Ino, while Kin just nod in response.

"Oh... good luck then" said Kakashi with a visible eye smile to Breezy. Breezy can only stare at Kakashi with half-opened eyes.

"Okay! So let's start the match whenever you're ready!" said Tenten.

"I'm ready! I'll show you how good I am on playing this volley game!" said Breezy confidently.

"Good! Let's get to our own field and get started" said Tenten as she and the rest of her team started to walk to the field.

"I'll be leaving now, I have some other important things I need to attend. Don't forget to tell me if you guys accept Breezy or not, so I can write her name down" said Kakashi.

"Sure, we'll tell you later" said Tenten.

-30 minutes later, after a game of volleyball-

Breezy and her team manage to score 30 points, while Tenten's team only score up to 18 points. It was such an intense game of volleyball between the two team.

"You are good! I guess I'll accept you in the team. Hopefully you can perform like that again during the actual competition, which is two days from now" said Tenten.

"Yes! Is there any costume I need to wear for that? Like, team costume?" asked Breezy.

"Nah, no need, just wear the school's PE uniform and you're good to go" said Tenten.

-time skip to 2 days later, inside a prep room for Volleyball competition-

"Hey Breezy! You're looking good in that outfit!" said Ino, who's now sitting beside Breezy.

"Thanks, where did you get this outfit from?" asked Breezy.

"Get? I designed it myself! And asked my parents to make it!" answered Ino.

"Wow, you got some good mind for that, you should be a designer after you graduate!" praised Breezy.

"I've been thinking about it... anyway, it was kinda surprising that we cannot use the school PE uniform, but to bring our own outfit. Lucky that you guys have me in your team!" said Ino proudly.

"Yeah... they announced it a day before the volley competition too... still, how did you managed to make 6 of these in less than a day?" asked Breezy out of curiosity.

"We're ninjas, Breezy, not a normal citizen! We have our own way to work" answered Ino.

"Right, hehehe" responded Breezy as she rubs the back of her head.

"And now, the volley competition have finally begun! All participants please walk out of the prep room and get ready for the game!" a loud voice suddenly heard from outside of the prep room.

"Oops! We gotta go now! I'll see you outside Breezy!" said Ino as she quickly get out of the prep room, alongside with several other people. Breezy quickly put on a lip* on her lips and several other makeups, and after all of that done she rushes outside to meet with her teams.

The volley competition was a success. Breezy and her team came out victorious, and claimed the number one position, meanings she managed to get the fifty thousands coupons prize and 20 Hot Blooded Sport fragments. This prize was given to each members of the team and several others number one winners from another sport games. Pretty lackluster ending I know but eh, what can I say? I typed this fic in a rush.

Midnight's True Sport

Midnight Blade sighed as he walked down the school hallway, looking at all the flyers for tryouts for the sports. “I’ve tried almost every sport..there was baseball..” He flashed back to him wearing his baseball outfit and holding the bat then suddenly the ball came from nowhere and smacked him in the head, knocking him unconscious.. He shuddered. “Also basketball..” He flashed back to him playing basketball with his teammates then he began to shoot but it either bounced off or just completely missed the net. He winced. “Gymnastics…” He flashed back to him doing a leap and flipping...and hitting the ground.. SPLAT! He sighed. “Is there no sport that will ever fit me?” Suddenly he saw one flyer titled "Tryouts For Football". He gasped and ran to the field and saw people practicing and Naruto and Sasuke compete against each other, of course Sasuke always won and Naruto is being salty and complaining for another rematch. His eyes gleamed and he went up to Kakashi. “I would like to try out for football!” Kakashi squinted “Alright let’s see you play.” Midnight was focused and ready. He started playing then not soon later he kept making goals. He began to slide and yell the word GOALSSSS. Then he woke up in the nurse’s office. “What happened?..” The nurse sighed. “You started playing football and you got smacked in the head with a soccer ball.” Midnight sighed. “Oh it was just a dream... well..for some reason this sport is different from the others..I actually like this sport and I don't want to give up!” He got back up and ran to the field and ran to Kakashi. “Give me another chance Kakashi! I promise I can be successful if I don't give up!” Kakashi thought about it then sighed. “Alright…” Midnight cheered then started playing but of course has failed a couple times but eventually after a few practices later… He was playing his first game ever. He was nervous but determined. During the game, he couldn't believe it..he was actually winning! He was running and running then kicked the ball into the net then the announcer basically screamed GOAL! Then everyone was screaming and cheering. He had won his first game! He knew this was his true sport. He smiled and fist pumped in the air.

Azure's dream

It was a hot and sweaty summer day. Azure was sitting in the gymnasium, gazing at the bay.

Could she make it another round? - she thought. But her body grew tired, so hungry now.

She had been doing her usual morning routines of complex exercises for hours, and her belly was emptied. Time to head for breakfast! - she yelled hurriedly.

So there she went, skipping on every steps. She didn't make a new record that time, but she wouldn't mind. There was always rooms for improvement until the annual World's ninja warrior competition in July.

What were she going to eat, should she grab a quick snack from that newly opened Land of Lightning's food restaurant down the street?

A quick thought passed her mind as she opted for her favourite Ichiraku ramen's stall, but first Azure must leave her drenched suits and equipment behind.

So there she went, changing into her comfy clothing. She walked toward a familiar corner, turned right as the heaven's blessing in a form of noodles appeared before her.

Two bowls of pork ramen please! - Azure ordered. Unbeknown to her, Lord Hokage was enjoying his only day off with his son and daughter.

Your appetite is still large as always right? - Mr. Ichiraku commented. She worked hard for this, Azure smiled and nodded.

The noodles were soaked in this beautiful and milky broth. They were really thin, non-curly, and yellow. There were just a few ingredients: some mushrooms, scallions, red pickled ginger, and of course pork loin. Fell in love with this magnificent culinary beast, how could she not?

The fat was already concealing a little bit on top. It had such a tempting colour and creamy flavour that if Azure would sin, pray for it be attempting to reproduce with this ramen shop.

Eat well and grow stronger, she thought. For the pride of the Leaf resting on her shoulder, Azure devoured the bowls as if they were air and she were a dying astronaut.

She was a ninja with great skills. It was only natural for her to go on and become one of the best in the Gymnastic field.

Azure sure took her time! She even lost track. The food was so fantastic, she felt her body revitalized as if she had just been s*ed-fed by Sakura a healing flask.

So there she went, paying her bill and head back to her home to get ready for when the afternoon training began. Azure must rest well, so she turned her TV on. She watched it for a while then felt asleep, curling like a prawn.

The clock finally ticked. Azure woke up, ready to get fit.

She washed her face and combed her hair. Even though they would get messy again, she just did not care.

So there she went, running to the gym. Tis be her cardio, she breathed in! Azure became one with the jog's rhythm, As it were with her. With the Hokage's blessing by her side, she could even defeat demons like the Witcher.

If the gold medal was a crown jewel, Azure must surpass great titans before she could make it her own.

Our lovely girl stopped at the gym's front door. She came in with greater will power than before. Her gripped tightened with every molecule. Her arms as hard as machine tools!

So there she went, practicing and practicing! Refilled her bottle between every major repetitions, she would not even ask for help from anyone. Azure was determined to get plenty done.

Would her work pays off? She never asked. She had one goal and one goal only, for that she would outlast even Rock Lee. Her nimble foot work made moving around the pommel horse like a graceful dance. What a beauty! Azure was admired by every man.

Her landing was flawless, as perfected through many injuries. She always bound back with solace, learned much from her blistery.

She studied her history: knowing where she fell and the reasons, she overcame all, claimed victory through misery.

Would our girl achieve valedictory? We could only watch and cheer with our peers. But let me pop a beer to our Azure dear!

No matter what will happen, you will always be my hero. May you keep flying forward like an arrow! And may you find new motivation in temporal sorrow. We understand your hardship, truly known!

So there she went, packing up her bag as she headed out of the room. It had been one hell of a day. Azure felt like Brad Pitt's mummy raising from the long forgotten tomb.

Exhausted, her face's glittering with frosted sweat. Her braids freshly twisted, Azure wished she had not missed the sunset.

What a beautiful day.

What a wonderful girl.

What a joy she would bring to our village, let us cheer again for our pearl!

This is an attempt to retell Azure's hopes and dreams through these poem streams. May she reigns supreme among athletes from every team!

It was midnight. There was the occasional call of a crow and the barking of dogs could be heard, but other then that, it was a calm and quiet night. Perfect for sneaking in and out of Breeze Dancers home. As Azure Fang made her way up the walls of the mansion, she was careful of her footing, not wanting to slip and fall three stories down. She opened the window and slid in, being extra careful not to touch anything without her gloves. As she made her way down the dark hallway, she heard a deep voice speaking.

*ing in a breath of air, Azure Fang moved towards the wall, grabbing a golden flask from a table and shoving it in her bag. Leaping up, she used her arms and legs to support herself, and she quickly made her way up the wall, stopping when the ceiling hit her back. The door she was planning to go into opened, and a large man stepped out. Moving quickly, he made his way down the hallway, not noticing the * the ceiling. When he turned the corner she somersaulted down, and scurried into the room he had just exited. Looking around at the jewelry in the room, she smirked to herself, and immediately began grabbing all that she could and shoving them in with the golden flask. Slipping back out, she quickly made her way back to the window, climbed down the three stories, and slid into the car that drove up. She settling into the passenger seat, sending a grin to the red haired driver as he looked in the bag. Nodding in approval, he drove off.

"The security guard had just checked the room and everything was there, but when he went to check on the rest of the house, someone slipped in past the lasers and stole every last piece of my grandmothers jewelry. Its unbelievable. They didn't even turn them off. They stole everything. They were all I had left off her since her passing, and now there gone." TenTen moved closer to Breeze Dancer, hugging the crying girl.

"Hey, hey, don't cry, I'm sure they will turn up somewhere, they couldn't have just disappeared out of nowhere." Breeze Dancer just hung her head, muttering inconsiderable words.

"Besides, the Uchiha Police Force is on the case, and there the best Police Force around. You can count on them to find the jewelry." added Ino, smiling. Although she was smiling at Breeze Dancer, Azure Fang could see that her eyes weren't on the girl. Instead they were on Sasuke, a member of the Uchiha clan.

"Your right, its just I was really looking forward to wearing her diamond encrusted one of a kind hair tie for the volleyball tournament tomorrow." and the truth comes out, thought Azure Fang rolling her eyes at the blonde. Feeling someones eyes on her, she turned her head and made eye contact with Temari and Kankuro. Motioning her over, Azure Fang went and sat next to them.

"Have you heard about the tournaments there having tomorrow? You should do the gymnastics one. The prize is $100,000." she whispered, knowing the money would get the blue haired girls interest. It worked. She turned her head, mouth open wide, mouthing the number over and over again.

"With that much, I can stop. I wont have to do anything like THAT again." Azure Fang pondered over this, choosing not to mention what she did in the busy school cafetera. Temari understood thought, since she was the getaway driver most of the time. Though last night she wasn't able to make it, so her youngest brother, Gaara, drove.

"You wont't have to do that anymore, with that much money your set for life. We c*l stop" Temari added, smiling gently at Azure Fang, knowing just how much she needed to hear those words.

"Iv'e never gone to a practice though, and all the other girls have dedicated their whole lives to that. I don't think I can do it." immediately getting depressed, she laid her head back down, grunting as Kankuro shoved his elbow into her stomach.

"Sure you can, Iv'e seen you climb four story houses like it was a breeze. Besides, Temari already entered you and got your outfit. Go try it on." and with that Temari was hailing Azure Fang away towards the locker rooms.

The blue leotard hugged her figure perfectly, and the sparkles made her stand out even more. Her right sleeve was white, different from the patterns of her left sleeve, but she liked it. It brought attention to her right hand, where her ribbon wand was being held. Her hair was * as it usually was, but the blue looked good with the outfit. As she stepped out into the auditorium, she couldn't help but feel nervous, something she never felt, even when she broke into houses. She looked over as she heard her name being called over and over again by familiar voices.

"You got this, Azure Fang.I believe in you!" the three siblings, dubbed the 'Sand Siblings' by the school, were all jumping and cheering for their partner in crime, literally. Taking a deep breath, she started her routine.

As the song ended she laid down in a ball, symbolizing the end of her routine. Sniffles and crying could be heard from the audience. Then cheering. Everyone calling out to her, and then the announcement. She was looking at the Sand Siblings when they gave it. She saw happiness, tenderness, and endearment all at the same time, looking at her. Tears slipped past her eyes as the laughed, running to them, hugging them all. She could finally stop stealing, their was no use of it anymore, since its not like she needed the money.

She had won.

Chapter 1: Call

It was a beautiful, sunny day.
A man sat in a tree in the middle of the clearing, staring at the sky.
He remembered an old friend who died during the war five years ago.

- Who would have thought you would be on our side,
I thought I would have to kill you - he said to himself and smiled

He looked left and saw in the distance the Glorystone on which the names of the shinobi were engraved,
who gave their lives to protect the village. He noticed Kakashi by the stone, but he did not want him
disturb, he knew that Obito and Rin are mentioned.
So he returned to look at the sky and remember an old friend.

Suddenly, he was reminded of training with bells when he, Sakura and Sasuke fought against Kakashi.

"Yeah show em what you're made of!" proclaimed Crimson.

Our story takes place in the third annual Shinobi Olympics, a test of pride for each of the 10 great nations in the world and the only time every nation is united in one place. This year the Land of Oasis, the newcomers to the competition, are surprisingly putting on a great showing led by each of their captains.

We are currently in the bottom of the 9th with the score tied 2-2, the bases are loaded and the Land of Fire sends their pinch hitter up to the plate, Iwabee Yuino. Scarlet, the pitcher and captain of the Land of Oasis had seen this guy hit everything thrown at him and has his work cut out for him, but he is determined to get the Olympics off to a good start. He winds up for the pitch and sends a scorching fastball that Iwabee makes contact with. "Foul!" yells the umpire. That was a close one, if Iwabee gets one good shot this game is over. Scarlet winds up for his second pitch and gives Iwabee the most beautiful curveball he had ever seen. Iwabee takes a swing and again makes contact but it flies back into the stands for another foul. Down two strikes Scarlet is feeling confident but is keeping composure. It's time he breaks out his weapon, the pitch he hasn't had to throw all tournament. Scarlet winds up and zings a slider over home plate Iwabee couldn't hope to react to. "Strike 3, you're out! Oasis wins!" Scarlet and the baseball team are ecstatic, celebrating on the mound in what we would come to know as one of the greatest ends of a tournament we had ever seen.

"We knew you had it in you kid. Guess it's time for me to bring it home," said Breeze as she walked over to congratulate Scarlet on his win.

"I didn't think competition would be so stiff this year, I was so confident we would win," Midnight sulked.

"Ah, cheer up buddy we'll be able to show our real skill next year and show the world that they can't take us lightly," Azure cheerily said.

With this win Oasis are closing in on the lead that Fire, the defending champions, have in this years' Olympics, making the score 2-1 with Basketball and Vollyball still remaining.

Crimson, a hulking guy takes his position ready to recieve the tip for his team. This year Crimson the Oasis team are favored to take the gold in Basketball, the only sport they are favored in. Across from him are the dynamic duo of the Land of Fire, metal Lee and Mitsuki. Crimson is confident in his team and his chances, but he'd be lying to say he isn't worried. Through two quarters of play the Land of Oasis is trailing 52-62. Crimson walks into the locker room to find his team completely deflated, after fighting so hard to get to the finals his men are struggling with the realization of talent in metal and Mitsuki.

"I know you guys are tired and overwhelmed. But they are human. We need to get together and play as a team. We made it here as a team and if we go down we will go down as a team. You guys aren't just my teammates, you are my brothers. Now I ask of you, look to the guy on your left, get a good look and realize what you are fighting for. That is your brother. You fight for your brother, no matter if youre tired, want to quit, nothing matters. You fight for the guy standing next to you. Now are we going to go out there and get *n out? Or are we going to go out there and show them why they all believed we would win."

"We're going to win!" shouted the members of Crimson's team as they made their way back to the court, empowered by Crimson's speech.

The next 2 quarters went by fast but the intensity of Team Oasis compared to the first half was night and day. They had started to work as a unit to shut down the fastbreak style of Mitsuki and metal and gained pacing in the game. With 15 seconds to spare Crimson took the ball and drove hard to the basket, showing off his strength by finishing a monsterous dunk and getting fouled, then stepping up to the line to sink the free throw, putting Team Oasis up by 2. Mitsuki puts the inbound perfect for metal to catch and run with it, driving all the way to the hoops and completing an acrobatic layup to even the score. Team Oasis calls a timeout and with 5 seconds remaining are looking to put the game away in regulation. A play they have worked on so many times in practice, an inbound alley oop to Crimson for the win. As Crimson started his run toward the basket the inbound pass came a little too high and bounced off the backboard, Crimson, using his massive wingspan was able to corral it with one hand and finish with a thunderous slam to give Oasis the win.

"I guess it's up to us now." Breeze thought to herself, for the first time she actually feels the pressure of the Olympics start to set in.

After the Land of Win took the duo gold medal in Volleyball they are now within striking distance of forcing a three way tie for first between Wind, Fire, and Oasis. After fairly easy matchups Wind and Oasis are meeting in the finals, if Breeze can win this, Oasis will take the Olympics victory. If not, who knows what will happen. But she has to face the strongest competitor she has ever faced before, Yodo from the Land of Wind. Breeze has seen her abilities up close and knows this will be a fight she will need every bit of her strength to win. Breeze and Yodo take their places and Breeze delivers a beautiful serve. With that, the match that could determine the entire Olympics is under way!

Today was the day, the competition for the world gymnastic event. My friends were busy with their own sports to be able to come to this event to see me compete.

“Azure!” I turned around and then I was splashed with a drink. “Hope you don’t trip!” it was a competitor from the hidden sand team. I sighed as I went to the change rooms so I could get into my clothes.

The word water was on my right sleeve on the top part of my leotard. Once I was ready I headed out to the event area. Our team the hidden leaf, was coached by Iruka Umino.

“It’s your turn after Sakura” iruka said to me and I nodded. After I sat beside Tenten, worry started to eat at me.

I fell into my thoughts but was dragged away from them when I felt Tenten poking my face.

“Azure, you’re up for vault!” she stopped poking me when I turned my head to her. “Oh, yeah”

Once my feet hit the runway, I took a breath, looked over to Iruka-sensei. He nodded to me and I turned to look at the vault and went into a run.

As i pushed my body to go into a handspring and then into a front somersault. Once my body went through the rotation, I got ready to land, but my body slipped and fell onto my hip.

A gasp fell over the crowd, and a barking laugh echoed from the sides. It was the hidden sand competitor from earlier who spilt their drink on me. I haven’t failed at the vault since I was a kid!

Tears pricked at my eyes as I got up and walked off. Iruka put his hand on my shoulder. “You did great Azure! Sure you didn’t * the landing but you got through the full rotation” nodding to Iruka, so he knew I acknowledging his words.

After Floor exercise event

Tears dripped down my face, I finally answered my cellphone. “Azure, you did great today!” my mother’s cheerful voice said once I answered the phone.

“Thanks mom. I just didn’t do that great. I think it’s the nerves today. One of the other competitors spilt their drink on me earlier and told me not to trip” I sobbed out. “Don’t listen to them! Tomorrow you’ll do great out there on the uneven bars and balance beam!” she cheered out.

“Ok. Has any of my friends called you? They haven’t texted or called me at all today” I asked her. My hand started to nervously pull at the edge of my shirt.

“No, they haven’t” a sigh slipped past my lips. “Yeah. Bye mom” once my mother said goodbye I put my cellphone into my pocket and left to go to the hotel.

Next day

“Hurry up Tenten!” I yelled, she was taking forever in the shower. “I’m back! Look what I got!” Sakura cheered when she entered the hotel room. Sakura brought back some bagels from a nearby coffee shop. A smirk crossed over my face. “I’ll eat your bagel Tenten if you don’t get out of the shower in three minutes!” The words cheered out of my mouth as I went and grabbed the bagel to eat it.

Within a minute the shower was turned off and Tenten rushed out of the bathroom to grab a bagel. I and Sakura shared a look. At least we can get to the event area quickly today.

Later on

Since the uneven bars went by, we went out for lunch before the balance beam event. I fell when on the bars. It seems like bad luck was striking me again today.

“You’ll do great on the beam Azure! I’m sure of it!” Sakura smiled and I smiled back.

“I hope so. If I don’t, then I’m sure I won’t make it to the Qualifiers for the Olympic team next year” I groaned out and let my head fall onto the table. My dream is going to be shattered!

When our food arrived at our table, we cheered. I ordered Takoyaki. The flavors where great. The octopus was so good. “When we get back home, we should have a party to celebrate at the gym!” Tenten proposed and we all got into an agreement.

When Sakura finished her soba, she looked at me. “why aren’t your friends here to watch you Azure?” she asked me. “They were busy. So they couldn’t make it” I answered Sakura and she nodded. It was almost time to get back to the event area.

Balance beam event

The crowd cheered when Sakura landed onto the mat and finished her routine on the beam. It was my turn. Getting up from my seat I walked over to the beam.

My dream. To go to the Olympics are going to be shattered. My dad had told me when I was younger that it was silly to think of a big dream like that could be possible. My mother supported me all the way so I could get to this point.

I wish my friends were here. I could wish for so many things right now, but I can only try right now.

“Azure! Do your best!” “Win this Azure!” my head sharply turned so fast that I thought I was going to be dealing with whiplash. My friends were here!

I waved to them as I smiled. Midnight, Crimson, Scarlet and Breeze. As I started to do my routine, they cheered for me to do my best. As I went into a handstand, I felt my tears start to drip down my face. My balance went off and I fell when I tried to lift my one arm off the beam.

“You can do it Azure! Get back up!” Breeze yelled at me from the stands. I forced my body to get up and I went back on the beam to finish the routine with a backflip off the beam to land. The crowd cheered and I ran off to go to meet with my friends.

"You did awesome Azure!” Scarlet and I fist bumped and breeze hugged me. As we chatted, I finally wanted to ask them all something.

“I though you all were busy and couldn’t make it to watch!” I asked them as I stared.

“We saw that you weren’t doing so great yesterday, so we all got on the train to come here to cheer you on today!” Crimson spoke and I finally nodded. “Since we got here in time to cheer you on, you’ll have to make sure to go to our events to cheer us on.” Midnight smiled at me and I nodded. “Of course! Thanks guys!”

And so the flames were set once again

Once upon a time ,in a land far away...or rather in a village called Konohagakure there was a ruthless young man , barbaric and defieant who thought nothing of his fellow man.Among the people he was known as ''Scarlet Blaze''.This name was a fitting for his personality after all the scarlet is the colour of blood and nothing would fit better to this bloody man.All he desired was to gain enough power to rule everything.But the dreams and the fine ambitions he had were denied by the very reality in the shinobi world.Peaceful times can be very harsh for many individuals which all their time ,they spent it for learning the way of ninja.All that harsh training , all that time was in way stolen from them by a false definition of peace and equality.

Uzumaki Naruto the 7th Hokage of the village of fire ,Konohagakure knew very well that the importance of shinobi was fading with each day passing.Most of the people started to lose the will which had engulfed all the villagers...''The Will Of Fire''.This will was the very thing that kept this village alive and safe.This will was such of a big importance because it was a will that connected everyone in the village that sometime they would consider each other even as family.

Naruto while he was taking a break from his long and tiring work he decided to visit his favourite place ''Ichiraku''.While he was waiting for his ramen he heards the discussion that 2 old men were doing while eating their ramen.The rumours were about this young man called ''Scarlet Blaze'' and his ambitions.While hearing their story ,naruto started to remind it his younger self where he wanted to be the strongest ninja and take the name of Hokage.Naruto while knowing very well the lack of competition in this peaceful shinobi world he came up with a great idea.

The following day the big news was out. Hot Blooded Sports Event!!

This was an summer event which naruto came up with.With the skills and countless days of working everything was ready.Many people which wanted to participate were gathered in the baseball stadium where would take place the first event .Of course among the participants was also the young Blaze who was especially hyped for this event.In the event the skills and the game were of a great importance but the fashion was the thing all were looking forward too.Blaze which once wanted to rule the world through power now a new path was opened for him.The King of baseball... that was his new goal.Naruto while was observing the young Blaze and his passion was really glad too see once again the eager and the will of competition in the village.Even though peaceful times, a new battlefield was opened.Blaze's red outfit was setting this battlefield on fire.While he was putting his red cape and taking his bat to start the game , his charming figure astonished everyone.An amazing contrast between red and black which were part of his outfit created an amazing harmony,and a pleasure itself for the eyes of the people who came to watch the event.The dominant red colour in the field triggered some sweet memories to Naruto which made him remembering the 3rd Hokages words :

When the tree leaves dance,

one shall find flames.

The fire's shadow will illuminate the village,

and once again,

tree leaves shall bud anew.

And so the event started... the Will of Fire once again had started anew.
