  • I do not understand if his passive boosts main characters or not, is not that clear.

He buffs 9 units (across field). It just doesn't stack with main's element buffs. Therefore you take another passive that benefit him the most.

  • In regards to same types of buffs not stacking: I take it that his buff won't stack with Iruka?

They do stack. Totally different passive, even though it's the same boost type.
