Which, fyi, is the opposite of a good idea!!!
Just don't strengthen your gear. Ignore it, level it when your group skills get too expensive.
Black Market is like buying stamina. Cheaper than stamina potions. True power comes from the market!!!
That said, the real expensive part there is buying ninja frags so only pick up ones you plan on using. -

Yet donating helps level the group faster, which gets access to higher level group skills, which adds tons of power to every player in your group.
If you donate daily and hit rank 8+ group, you have a power advantage that can't be closed easily. Plus you can still strengthen your gear any time. -

- Man you're all wrong about this. Just TAKE YOUR TIME. Don't rush to level cap. Get as much money as possible before hitting your next level then rinse and repeat. There is no need to ru* otherwise you're gonna be that guy who's level 60+ with 8-9k power.
Except BEING level 60+ will give you more power than the stats. There's no harm in leveling fast, only benefit. You get more money, more magas, everything.
This is a strategy game and part of the strategy involved is figuring out how to spend your limited resources to maximize power gains. If you happen to be in a solid and intelligent group then group skill donations are less important because your whole group should be smashing through the Group Instance at high difficulties.
Group instance is what separates the low quality guilds from the high quality ones. Day after day after day the advantage creeps up as one group clears rank 5 difficulty daily while another only does 2 and with only a fraction of their members. Each team of three that clears it at a high difficulty can be getting 50+ contribution PER PERSON more than some other group. That's the equivalent of 150,000 in donations. -
