Covering my bases: If ever I say guy, I mean person that can be male or female. I am not referrring to Guy who can chase High Float and cause Ignition and Knockdown. :D

Intro
So you've come because you need help with Survival Trials.
You're here because you've pulled your hair cause that one guy in Stage 12 keeps taunting you with his unbeatableness :@
You're here because you've screamed into the night because you just wanna sleep but you're somehow stuck on only stage 9 or 10 and nothing you do is working? :'(
What you haven't? Not even once? Well in ant case I'm here to help/confirm what you already know :lol

Some Stuff You Might Not Know
Ok some of this stuff might be super basic to us battle tested level 50 and up people but I'm writing under the impression that lowbies new and old will read this and so cover as many bases I shall. :P

The Stages
There are 12 Stages in Survival Trial and after beating Stage 9 you gain access to Trial Breakthrough that has up to 4 stages as of this writing.
Additional stages in Trial Breakthrough are unlocked as you're Main Character levels up
The Stages can be manually reset once after 5AM which will bring you back to Stage 1 of Survival Trial with new enemies and rewards for the day.
If you defeated Stage 12 before midnight of that day you will be allowed to sweep stages you have beaten with minimal or no HP damage.

Your Lineup
You get to chose 12 ninjas to bring to Survival Trial and Trial Breakthrough.
You may change which 12 ninjas you bring with you at any time. :lol
You may not change a ninja that has been defeated in battle.
You may not change a ninja that has completed a stage no matter what state they are in.

The Aftermath
Your ninja's Hp is carried over from one battle to the next along with some minor healing.
The team's chakkra does not carrry over.
Ninjas defeated in battle are defeated until reset.
In case your opponent is still alive at the end of the fight's round limit (10 rounds) (whether you win or not) all your ninjas are considered defeated. :'(

The Goodies
Rewards after each round include Coins, Trial Points, Cultivation Runes, and a Probability Reward
What the heck is a Probability Reward? Mostly it's stuff you can get from Bond Treasure.
Sometimes it's one or two fragments for a Ninja
On rare occasions it's enough fragments for a whole ninja. :D
I myself have gotten Kidomaru 3 times (30 fragments each time and is now a 3 star)
I've also gotten Yamato from completing Stagge 12 (80 yes 80 fraggments all at once) :o
(I do not have a Jounin Medal in case you think it improved my chances)
In case this is a glitch they hopefully don't tow away my ninjas :'(
Trial Breakthrougghs give the same rewards with the addition of an item you cc*e to open one card in the Trial Treasure Room.
The good rewards include Seal Scrolls, Summon Scrolls, 1-3 fragments of ninjas including rare ones like Pain.
(Good luck guessing though) :P

The Strategy
Down to the stuff that most if not all of you came for. I will be listing in order of what I think is important.

1.) Do Survival Trial Before Any Other Game Content
Don't tell me how to play! :@ You in no way have to take this advice. This method just gives you thhe best probability of success.
So I can still beat Survival Trial even if I do it at the end of the day? :o Sure it might be that much harder though and I'll explain now.

Your opponent at each stage is determined the moment that stage is unlocked and that opponent will not change even throughout the day. That opponent seems to be chosen based on your power level though I'm not 100% sure on that. :dizzy:
Ok sure so how does that help me? :L Let's say you're level 49 before doing anything in the game.
I'm actually level 69 but go on have your fun ;P Uh sure. so you go through the rrest of the game features, events, and story and end up level 52 at he end of the day. Then you do Survival Trial. If you reach Stage 12 you'll probably see a Level 54-55 opponent. It wouldn't be unbeatable but sure would be hard.
On the other hand if you had started Survival Trial when you were 49 Stage 12 would have been Level 51-52. Then you could have gone about your day and come back to fight the stage as Level 51-52 yourself. A mucch easier fight even if you're not fully cultivated awakened etc the way a level 52 is.

Okay sure but I'm Level 69 so it takes day to level up so this doesn't apply to me? :dizzy: Not necessarily even though you probaly won't level up therre are still magatama, refining, awakening, ninja tools, and so many other things you can do to power up. you'de be better off gettinng an opponent for an earlier version of you than the you of even 2 hours after playing.:lol

2.) Kabuto
That's very specific :L Yup annd with good reason. In order to sweep a stage you have to beat it with minimal to no HP damage. I say that but it's more like your HP total at the end of the battle has to be near 100% even if you get damaged. Or so I've been told. :o

Kabuto being the amazing healer that he is heals multiple ninjas for a very good amount even when not at full strength. With Stars, Cultivation, and whatever else he can keep your team squeeky clean with a lime scent using his lime green healy chakra. :loveliness:

With him on your team you're on your way to sweeping up to Stage 10 in Survival Trial. :lol

I have a better healer c*e them instead? ;P By all means and feel free and tell us who it is. In the mean time Kabuto is an accessible healer with great output.

I'm a Water Main can I use myself instead of Kabuto? :loveliness: You lucky rare breed of human of course you can but build towadrs healing okay :)

3.) Run Away for the Love of Kami-sama or Jashin or Whoever You're into RUN AWAY!!!
But I'm a fighter not a lover!!! :@ Good for you I guess??? however in this game that'll get ninjas unnecessarily killed.

Remember that Lightning Main with Sasuke and or Kakashi that comboed your ninjas one by one to oblivion? :L
Remember that Earth Main wrapped in a shield surrounded by CPS (clones/puppets/summons) that were also shielded that you just can't even dent? :Q
Remember that Lighting Main that has that AOE paralyzer that makes your team look like they need team building exercises? :funk:
Remember that Wind Main that rained down shielded clone hell? :curse:
Remember that Lightning Main that destroyed all you CPS and two of your ninjas with what 9-10 basic attacks on round 2? :'(

Well all of that can go away just hit the retreat icon already. :o
Before your last living character is hit with a combo that will kill it permanently hit the retreat icon. This reverts all ninjas that were in the battle to whatever state they were in before it started totally consequence free.

4.) Fine I've Run Away Now What?
Try to remember what happened in the battle. What was the enemy team like? What kind of mysteries, combos, and formation did they have? What can I do to counter? Honestly the possibilities here are endless however I'll try to cover some common things to run into and how to deal with them. I'll try to update every other week if possible.

For the most part though anything not covered here you might find somewhere else in the forum. If not go into the Stage take a screenshot and ask for advice. Hopefully someone can give you the answer before midnight. Otherwise you can't sweep after reset.

I've run into an immovable mountain encased in a shield surrounded by clones! :L You do not want to run out of rounds. Any ninjas you still have even if you win will be considered defeated. To beat a team like this you need to use as much IPI (Ignition, Poison, and Imprison) as possible. Combos likely won't work as well as your immovable object is probably immune to floats, repulses, and knockdowns. IPI damage works directly on HP and ignores shield, defense, resistance. No normal character can withstand this for very long without a healer. If a healer is present take them out first. A combo or two may help but is not absolutely necessarry. Reminder Imprison is like Haku they both inflict a lot of damage but can't kill a ninja only reduce them to 1 HP. Sometimes Kabuto will accidentally kill allies this way because of his skill. ;P
Suggested Ninjas: Kankuro (Great Ninja War is better), Fire Main, Deidara, Tobi, Karin, Shizune, Sasuke (3 Star), Water Main and the like

Help Attack of the Clones!!! http://forum.naruto.oasgames.com/en/static/image/smiley/default/mad.gif AOE damage is your friend. Some people find success with whatever they use against Nine Tails Event. High Combo chasers tend to hit multiple target. Other than that a Barrier user (3 Star Sasuke, Anko, Haku, Gaara, Yamato, and others) plus a bunch of AOE mystery skills of the right element clean those teams right up. Prioritize people who can resummon clones and people about to die. Combos are not strrictly necessary but will help greatly. A good solid tank will also help.

Fire Main has me Sleep/Control Locked please set me free :sleepy: Coffee? The best advice I can give you is to adjust your formation so that key ninjas on your team don't get sleep locked and time heals so they break control skills. Also Genjutsu Mirror will help against the first control skill (Kurenai, Fire Main). There's also Debuff Eaters but those aren't that acessible (Pain Gakido I think? and Fire Main). Sharpshoot skills against them. Fire Main is probaly one of the toughest control skill users and he's still not that durable so a good combo should be fine.

I'm Burning, Poisoned, and Imprisoned now what? Place debuff healers and eaters near back and time their skills if possible. (Sakura, Kabuto, Fire Main, Water Main, Wind Main) For Lightning Mains, if you're a high enough level there should be a talent that prevents statuses for a few rounds. Ninjas that can inflict IPI tend to be soft and should be targeted first. Ignite is most dangerous. Posion is less dangerous until 3 or more stacks. Imprison is the least dangerous but remember who has it or else you might put your ninjas on the brink of death.

Lightning Main :'( (Walks away whistling) No Please help seriously Lightning Main :'( If there are no tanks use IPI and/or AOE. Use combos when not being hit by paralyze. For basic attack berserkers Kimimaro and Hinata in Front with Kabuto and Kankuro in back. Kankuro can be any other character that can give you consistent damage of any type. For tanky status immune team use same setup but change kankuro to high damge combo initializer. Hinata can be any tank with good damage output.

Water Main Accupuntured my whole team somehow :o Be Lightning Main? CPS Users like Kankuro, Naruto, Sai, and others c*ually start off a combo without their mystery. Lightning Mains just need to do as many basic attacks as possible. Despite how short this is It's not as easy for everyone to pull off. Seriously guys Water Mains can be big trouble too.

I'm being devoured by an AOE Storm :dizzy: Control Skills. You want SAII nope not the guy who summons lions SAII (Sleep, Acccupunture, Immobile, Interupt) . Time them properly. Experiment and adjust your formation. Retreat and repeat until you figure this out. By the way there's also chaos with Ino but the joke won't work. :$
Suggested: InoShikaCho, Fire Main, Neji, Hinata and someone with repulse, Shino, and so on

Other things to consider are as follows.

Slight formation changes can change the battle by changing when skills and attacks are launched and who gets hit.

Change of talents can change the flow of battle.

Changing your summon can unlock a combo you didn't think of. (Unlikely to happen though)

Bring a different ninja if you can you never know who might work.

You can do some other game events and stuff now. Power up come back and avenge yourself for your almost loss. :@

5.) So Who Do I Bring???
I know like what took you so long? :L You can bring 12 Ninjas but you can switch out anytime anyways so what's even the point? The point is unless you have boundless stamina and some magical otherworldly source of cultivation runes you're probably only goin to have around 15-16 fully updated ninjas and 12 of those are probably for your Ranked Battle team. So planning is essential.

Can't I just bring my Ranked Battle Team then? You can and it'll worrk well enough however there's a slight issue with how different the needs of both teams are. In a Ranked Battle you need 3 teams that can work individually as 4 ninja groups and come together to fight another group with 3 teams. In Survival Trial you actually only need 1 or 2 with interchangeable parts. That is to say if the tank of your primary team dies another should be waiting in its place without making it hard to form additional teams. :dizzy: Say what? Sounds complex I know.

Let build a sample team then. If you've been reading properly you know who the first pick is.. Tobi :lol just kidding its Kabuto of course Water Mains and any other good healer's that hit multiple ninjas and can clean out debuffs are qualified. Ideally you want their Ninjutsu and or Resistance as high as possible depending on how their skill works. Sometimes one will suffice but because they are sommetimes singled out by the enemt AI consider bringing 2 or bring some extra control or aggression attracting characters (more on this later).

Next on your list should be a Tank to absorb damage. He may seem uneccesary in your first run but remember the lessdamage you take the more sweeps you get. (over simplification I know) Great choices are Kimimaro (3 Star or Higher), Hinata (4 or 5 Star), Neji (4 or 5 Star), Kidomaru (3 Star or Higher). Hinata and Neji both come with accupunture whicch is great to have against dangerous mysteries combine with Water orr Lightning Main and you can shut down the enemy team's mysteries with the right timing and formation. Kimimaro and Kidomaru are Godly damage absorbers that get better over time and become even stronger with Kabuto. Their currse mark activates when ever they're targeted for damage whether or not they're even damaged and it increases their defense and resistance to impossible to *e levels. Kimimaro can dodge almost all first basic attacks and Kidomarru shields up before ech action. Combined with the damage before each action of Kabuto and his heal they become vey difficult to even damage. perfect for getting higher sweep. I suggest 2-3 of these tanks in cas one should happen to need to be sacrificed.

Next you're favorite of course. 1-2 max chances arre they're you're damage source or source of something useful. Besides its just no fun without your favorites.

Your Main because well they're non-optional. As intended use them like swiss army knives. Use the best skill at the right time and place.

IPI Ignition takes top priority here. Poison is a close second and ignition is something that shouldn'tt be underestimated. Ignition ninjas can be Sasuke (3 Star), Kankuro (Great Ninja War is better but harder to get), Fire Main, Obito (Boy), Tobi. Note: Even though you can't have 2 of the same person in 1 team you can have Tobi and Obito (Boy) on tthe same team. Posion Ninjas include but are not limited to Karin, Shizune, Water Main, and a lot of puppet users including look Kankuro again. So seriously consider Kankuro and possibly a second ninja..

SAIIC Sleep includes Fire Main and Tayuya. Accupuncture inlcludes Neji, Hinata, Water Main, Lightninng Main. Immobile includes Fire Main and Shikamaru. Interupt is Shino. Grab one ortwo that works best for you. And there's also Chaos which is Ino. Use for helping delay dangerous incoming attacks. 1-2 again

Aggression Attractors. Neji and Hinata do this quite well but consider adding one of a different kind. Consider what it takes to have the AI attack someone. It's not always you're strongest or tankiest member but your weakest. That's right I'm suggesting a lamb to the slaughter. Heavily optional and situational but needs to be mentioned. Any old ninja will do even without cultiwation orr awakening he just needs to be your level cap so he can absorb a full string combo. Use when you think you just need someone to take that one hit on the first turn.

Conclusion (For Now)
Do survival before powering up bring good healers and a couple of tanks. Mix and match characters and skills as needed. Retreat long before losing. Lather rinse repeat.

What that's it why make me read all that then? :@ Are you not entertained? :P What no? Well anyways it's better to know the why behind the what.

The Future
Sorry I can't see it either. I will edit this as needed, requested, demanded, commanded, and so on and so forth every other week or sooner if possible or needed etc etc.

Recently I've been running into a lot of people who say they've never gone further than Stage 9 or 10 so I made this just in case. Also, because I couldn't get the idea out of my head. :P

Oh I may as well ask here. The Survival Trial enemies show portraits show enemy ninjas in their green awakening portraits but are you fighting them as though that is the case.

Can anyone confirm that they really are at green awakening level of power. Please and Thank You. Answers will be credited in the guide.

I couldn't get it out of my head actually so writing it was kinda the*utic.

What is hard is writing it keeping the filters in mind. So many words/word combinations that aren't allowed.
