Root of warrior is a buff, do not grant only immunity to debuffs for two rounds but also a very huge buff to resistance.
That said mb currently is the only main that is able to actually go on fully with buffs that cannot be removed. Anbu special tactics and Heart flux or how are called cannot be removed, calm mind gives you immunity, chakra and selfhealing every round, lightning armor additional standard attacks cannot be denied by debuff removal effects, honestly speaking i think mb is even too much overpowered currently.
P.S. you clearly never played azure fang.

You clearly dont have event ninjas thats why youre complaining. I play azure fang, and mostly fights midnight in every swb, arena and matsuri. I run with chaos passive and poisoon tai, but well here comes root. It annoys me very much, immunity and 100% buff resistance?. But still i can win cause i have edo deidara and kisame fusion. Crit scaling is real even without debuffs like ignite , poison and chaos i can literally make midnight cry with 1/2 of life taken away by deidara mystery.
Putting that all aside, you should have at least 2 event ninjas right now. Have shisui, or jonin minato or masked man. Mostly i can see in cn they using clone rather than root, cause midnight has calm mind( standard immunity).
Why not counter root? Many runs with root, mostly all the f2p goes to midnight blade and azure fangs which is no fun cause you know thwir lineup in fighting swb, arena and matsuri. Root also gives 100% buff resistance which no main can have. A little bit OP for me i think.
Right now, i have the deepest respect to those using scarlet and earth main even though f2p . Theres a few ninjas synergizes with them that you should want to get event ninjas to just maximize their full potentials.
It is a bit off topic but i rank them strongest to weakest as a moment (with of course all the event ninjas included and their uses in a team.)
1. Earth/fire main
2. Wind
3 water
4. Midnight
Why neurotoxin? Does not add anything to your team.
Use nature energy gathering instead of neurotoxin and add a 4th ninja that immobile or chaos to complete the team (angel god konan or ay 3rd should be very good additions, in the meanwhile use kurenai skillbroken).
P.S.:madara, iruka, wb asuma with mb in move 1, iruka in 2, lightning armor, heart flux, bloodthirsty demon. Good luck in beating it if you do not own initiative. Another mb team that owns you with ease right now is kushimaru blitz with onoki or mifune if jinpachi moves after deidara and if mb is faster than kisame (unless your kisame is move 1)
