There are 3 schools of players :
1. F2P : Nothing to say about it
2. One buy time : This isnt really P2W but makes the game much more confortable. You buy one time 2500 ingots. You spend 1888 ingots for Jonin medal (6 months). With the ingots left you mostly use it on "Try your luck" and buy stamina once per day (50 for 10 ingots). With 20 ingots spent/day you can last one month doing this.
3. P2W : You spend your ingots to increase your power : First on lvl 4 magatamas, then on refine runes, several summons draws, on mood and finally on seal scrolls. You c*so spend it to buy 3 times stamina/day to upgrade your equipment and on the lucky runes for strengtening your equipment. Also, some players spend it on donations so they can maximize their group skills.
