I doubt that. A couple weeks ago they had Jonin Minato events in Lucky board, Treasure of Sage, Sakura festival, and Lucky stars wheel as an event (They gave Kage Minato for the wheel and Jonin Minato for prize redemption). Now they had the Kage version for Treasure of the Sage, Konoha's Great trees (They gave Jonin Minato as a prize only when your tree was level 4), and now Lucky board. I'm pretty sure that now that they're having a few events with both the Kage and Jonin version we have to save up and enjoy it while it lasts. Trust me now is the time to start spending your life's savings if its your dream to get Kage Minato. Its also a good idea to spend on Lucky board since all the stuff you land on gives you really good stuff to improve your power.

I'm just stating my opinion on what people do. When Jonin Minato first came out in my server a lot of people spent their money on him. That was, until they figured there were other ninjas stronger than him and started to replace with Kurama Naruto, Shisui, Shark Kisame, and Edo deidara. But once the update for all ninjas had their descriptions changed, Minato had become a bit stronger than the Jonin version. I don't mean to say that Minato's the best or whatsoever but like I said its my opinion. I'm just a huge fan since he's my favorite ninja and may get carried away when explaining but that doesn't mean I'm saying he is the strongest. Like you said when relating to that college fund that sounds like the exact same idea as Kaizer did when making a few videos this week spending his whole money from his credit card on Kage Minato and that's way too much even when attempting to reach him to 5 stars. I don't know who else would go that far for spending stuff over $40,000 when they could be spending stuff on house bills, food, or shelter.

Plus I don't think that's possible due to that child growing up and perhaps take his mind off Minato and get interested in ninjas that will release like Angel Konan, Edo Minato, Susano Kakashi, Kage Summit Tobi, Holiday ninjas like Christmas Karin, Kiba, Sakura, etc. That child will probably end up getting a job or maybe even quit the game.
