Hoard all advanced refines, make use of the refine rebate to make sure you can max out to level 10 in 1 go. Do it 1 piece at a time.

Make sure you have enough to max out each level (in case you get unlucky) before getting the level 7, so stop at 6 and save enough to max it out to 10.

If you fail to reach the max level during the event, it will then require you to spend hundreds of refines extra. Example: lvl 9 -> lvl 10 has a max 1000 attempts. If I remember correctly the refine rebate from going to lvl 8 -> lvl 9 is 200 blessing? So if you fail, it will take you at least a few hundred more attempts to max out that level. At 38 coupons per at retail price, that mistake could cost you up to 7,600 coupons/ingots to fix, per equipment.

I messed up early in the game before I really understood the event, so now I'm stuck in advance refine hell. I'm forced to save up only advanced and enough of them to max out all my equipment. And it's taking forever. So listen to my advice otherwise you'll be SOL like me.

You don't want to go from 8 to 10 because it will cost a lot of refine runes. But if you don't have at least 1 lv 8 gear set you won't be able to top sage for more refine. So follow my guide :

1. Refine all your gears to lv 3 for early game/new server.

2. Refine 1 set of gears from 3 to 8.

3. Refine 2 set of gears from 3 to 6 after you complete your lv 8 set.

4. Hoard your cp/adv runes.

5. Refine the last set from 3 to 10.

This way your 1st pos ninja are strong enough to compete. When you get your lv 10 refine gear just slowly replace them with the lv 8 set. Your goal will be : 1st pos use lv 10 set, 2nd pos use lv 8 set, 3rd and 4th use lv 6 set. After that just refine 6 to 10 whenever you have enough adv, eventually after a few years you will have 3 lv 10 sets and 1 lv 8.

Thanks for your reply. But I have one more question. If I follow your guide, which level of charm on the level 8 refine gear set should I reach? Because eventually they will be replaced so I dont wanna go too far in charm.

If you are freezing your level then I think 6 is more than enough. 6 for lv 8 set, 3 for the rest then save til you get ur lv 10 gear.

Just beware that if you follow jinga advice, that is a quite good advice, your move 1 gear in arena, matsuri and in all the features where you cannot choose your equipment will be all level 8s.

Not to worry about this anymore, there is a treasured tool to compensate for it.

Like if the enemy does not own those tools too...

get everything to lvl 3 then hoard all refines then go all out from 3-10 for 6 equipment(1 at a time f course) then get everything else to 8 then push them to lvl 10 1 equip at a time. Freezing your level helps. Dishing out tons of ingots during events with adb runes helps even more.

I heard that in those feartures, your ninja will have the original gear set when you start playing the game, not the current set. Is that right? Im a bit worried because I adjusted the gears and messed up with them already.
