If a ninja dies and get revived, all buffs are removed, all stacks are reset to zero.

If a buffing ninja dies, auras* are removed, buffs applied on other ninjas stay.

Buff removal skills such as sand dust, han, gnw temari, masked man ect only remove duration limited buffs**. Auras, infinite duration buffs***, and stacks**** are not affected.

Notes:

* Auras - passive buffs that require a specific ninja on the field. Examples: barriers, wb asuma passive, madara passive.

** Duration limited buffs - Buffs that last x rounds. Most buffs are duration limted buffs that last 3 or 5 rounds.

*** Infinite duration buffs - Buffs that last for an entire battle after activation. If a boosted ninja dies, these buffs are removed. Examples: breakthrough hokage buffs, treasure tool scrolls.

**** Stacks - individual ninja boosts with no specified duration, they last the entire battle. If the ninja dies, then stacks are reset. Stacks that only depend on a ninja's current hp, such as hinata or kyuubi naruto are re-activated upon revival. Stacks that depend on a specific action, such as edo deidara watching a unit die or roshi getting hit, will restart from zero. (Self boosting buffs with a duration limit like kcm naruto combo boost are duration limited buffs, not stacks)
