  • You should probably learn to read.

I read it. And my conclusion is: It's complete and unnecessary idiocy to limit most of those events to less than one week.

What's the point of having Refine Rebate on Monday? So people can't Refine until this week's GNW is over? Does that even make a difference? And if that's the goal, then why is Refine Rebate allowed during the SpaceTime competition? Due to that logic, the time window of Refining has no consequential effect.

And it's not always as simple as learning how to read. Common example: In the middle of the week, the Monthly event rolls to the next week's "missions", right? Well it's quite common to have Summoning Rebate during the same week as the Monthly Event is on the 2x10 summoning week. But said Summoning Rebate starts a few days later, on Saturday usually. So now I'm reading both, and I have to keep in mind

Before you say that the above is not too hard, won't take too long, etc., etc:

The above type of "gameplay" is not the game I want to play. Refining, charms, sure, those aspects of the game are fine.

But to spend time looking at this date and that date and finding when dates overlap and this and that... How does that affect your enjoyment of the game? Does it make it better? Does it make no difference? Or does it make the game less enjoyable?

Or do you think it's good to have different date ranges because it adds an edge of competition? If that's the case, then are you saying that reading event posts very carefully is a good way of creating, good, fun competition? Is it a factor that is worth decreasing the impact of other factors? Very simplified example: 5 factors mean each factor has 20% impact on a fight, 4 factors mean each factor has 25% impact on a fight. Off the top of my head, the significant factors are: BP (in a way), lineup design, and strategy and tactics (I dunno if you want to see the latter as one factor or two). But when you add "reading the forums carefully" as another factor, then the aforementioned 4 factors have (very simplified) decreased their impact from 25% to 20%, because there are now 5 factors.

TLDR is careful reading of a weekly events list conducive to enjoyable gameplay and serious competition?
