Hey everyone!


We finally got Gaara books and they are amazing, so it's time to show you guys some possible lineups to use.

Firstly let's see what's good about them:


Mystery change is nothing special in normal teams since you will immobile thru chase anyway, however if you for example use teams where Sage Naruto and Gaara both do mystery in round 2 then you can immobile 2 ninjas from enemy team thanks to it.

Chase addition of immobile makes him on par with Kazekage Gaara instantly.

Passive super armor grants additional 20% defense, which can't be bad ever, make Gaara more tanky

Passive shield gives 2x higher shields when on +2 which is great also.



He is quite a versatile ninja therefore I will suggest a lot of team ideas, mostly suited for Wind Main though.

Let's jump into teams:



1. Earth Main "the gaara pos1 nuke team"

This team as the name says is all about that Gaara round 2 nuke, WB Asuma and Earth are there for the chakra gains so you can have 80 chakra round 1.

20 chakra to cast the barrier and 60 more for the mystery in round 2.


Gaara gets buffs from every single unit in the team and the mystery is hard hitting by itself so it makes for an amazing nuke.

However this team is very easy to counter sadly, a simple Susano Itachi/Masked Man and the team is done, but overall fun to play around with.



2. Earth Main "full buff Sage Naruto+Gaara team"

+20 chakra from Sage Naruto and +60 chakra from Earth main on round 1, using Gaara barrier leaves you at 80 chakra making you able to use both Sage Naruto and Gaara mysteries on round 2.


Now they are all buffed so the damage will be very nice, capability to immobile 2 units also in round 2 ( 1 with chase from Sage Naruto mystery, 2nd thru Gaara mystery)



3. Fire Main "the jinchuriki team"

A team with a lot of control possibility, defensive shields, reflect.

However it's lacking in buffs but still can be quite deadly.



4. Wind Main "the Gaara pos1 nuke team"

Similar to the Earth Main team with Gaara pos1 , however this one relies more on luck with getting all chases round 1 because all the chakra gain is in the chases.

It has decent protection and full buffs, with Impetus round 2 for debuff clear and the reset opportunities if needed.



5. Wind Main "full buff Hokage Minato nuke team"

As the name says , this team is all about buffing Hokage Minato.

The team is quite amazing with shields, clone protection , immobile chase, heavy nuke.

This team c*so use either Sage Naruto or Jonin Minato as a replacement for Hokage Minato.


However no debuff clearer except Wind Main on round 2 might hurt sometime, also fighting immune and clones will always hurt Hokage Minato tags as you all know he needs them for his nuke.



6. Wind Main "the steady safe Jonin Minato team"

Same as above this team c*so use either Sage Naruto or Hokage Minato as a replacement for Jonin Minato.


Overall not many buffs except Jonin Minato self-buffing and Gaara barrier, however it's a safe team as in having the flower guard and kurenai reflect + shield/heal.



7. Wind Main "the typical Sage Naruto meta"

The typical old Sage Naruto team, but it's even better now due to Gaara breakthrough.

The team is pretty safe due to Gakido clearing debuffs, however there are still obvious counters to it.


Great round 2 nuke thru both Sage Naruto and Gaara mysteries and capability to immobile 2 enemy ninjas on round 2 because of it.



8. Wind Main "the flower guard Sage naruto team"

Very similar to the team above, with having 1 damage buff less but having Flower Guard immunity on both Wind Main and Kurenai therefore making the team much more safer than the one above.

Even Masked Man/Susano Itachi have a hard time countering it due to immunities and debuff reflect passive.

  • Ehm... the mystery change is quite important since let you immobile/interrupt even super armor ninjas, like ay 3rd/4th, kisame samehada, han, itachi susano'o etc...

    And if you ran a reflecting debuffs ninja, like kurenai, sb or ningendo, this means also you are sure to immobile the enemy SB since you apply immobile twice.

    They aren't little differences.

Good point , Gaara is amazing for immobilizing the super armor ninjas ! I missed that one thank you

Exactly as the person above wrote , you can start with higher chakra in round 2 if you had it like that in round 1.

  • The line up I enjoy with Gaara is something like

    x x x
    Jigokudo Pakura Gaara
    Water Main x x

    Talents; 3 2 4 3 2
    Summon: Serpent.

    Mostly because Pakura lets your gaara set up barrier and attack and gives Jigokudo the ability to heal 2 ninjas 2x. And Water Main for good Measure. Good thing about this line up is that you don't need immobile on Gaara's chase since pakura does that through chases.

    Only weakness to this team is if both healers remain CC'd. If you just CC 1, one healer can get rid of said CC. can't kill pakura as Jigokudo was rez her.

Thanks for the suggestion, sounds pretty f2p friendly.

Yeah I don't like the fact that he doesn't spread poison tai also, that's mostly why I didn't put any Gaara + Water Main teams in my thread.


And yes if Gaara gets interrupted round 1 that team is very useless you are right
