I'd personally use a medic like Kabuto...

I have Kabuto (3 stars), Kakashi (3 stars), fire main (3 stars), GNW Kiba (2 stars) and that works for me.

About Gai- do leeches stack? I know both Gai and Lightning Main cause leech but I don't know if using both stacks; maybe just makes it last longer...
