I've never ran into such *y game trap, as I always read notifs that popup in the screen.
Just remember the rule: a lower quality rune can never absorb a higher quality one. It was possible in the past until they changed how it works.
As others have said, it's not the end of the world. You'd feel worse had you fed your UT ninja tool essences to level some orange tools. LOCK THEM.
