[ Player Guide ] Fire Main Beginner Control Guide

IntroductionBy clicking on this guide you are either interested in the ways of controlling your opponent, a fire main with no idea what to build, or just curious about what new strategy you can implement. No matter the reason, you've come to the right place. After reading this guide you should know the basics of playing the control game in this current meta, maybe even come up with a few ideas of your own. Now enough with the introduction, lets get started.

Why play control game?
The control game is a very complex yet simple strategy to implement and can carry you very far, especially if you are still in the early levels of the game. The team members needed to execute the strategy are fairly easy to obtain and the strategy itself is something I have not seen anyone else do in my server (Rock Lee), so most people do not know how to play against it.

Team Members
1. Scarlet Blaze (Fire Main)
2. Hinata 2*
3. Ino 2*
4. Any (As long as you can combo into Repulse, it does not matter who you run in the 4th slot).
Summon: Any

Talent Page Setup


Mystery - Dragon Flame JutsuThis jutsu will be used as your main combo starter and wave clear tool. The reason you go this move as opposed to the others is so that you have a source of dmg. The sealing jutsu is not necessary, as you have other sources of control in this setup. Phoenix Fire jutsu does not contribute for this type of playstyle at all.
Attack - Feather Illusion JutsuThis is the reason why this setup works so well for Fire Mains. You have an attack that puts enemies to sleep and allows you to combo this with Ino, causing your opponent to go into the Chaos status. The Chaos status makes your opponent attack their own team for 1 turn.

Chase - AnyThe passive you choose does not matter at all. As long as you are able to combo into the repulse status you can feel free to experiment. Sasuke works very well with this team since he can combo off of Dragon Flame Jutsu into Chidori (giving you paralysis) and also brings his own repulse allowing you to combo into the bread and *er of your combo, Hinata's Sealed Point Palm Strike. Kakashi also works very well with this team, although to get the full effect, it is recommended you have the White Snake summon.

Passive 1 - Genjutsu MirrorThis passive is simply amazing. You get a free reflect of the first debuff received by your team every round. Why would you not get this? The other two passives aren't really worth it imo. Fire style enhancement doesn't really work for this team comp and red lotus secret doesn't give you enough benefit to run it over the mirror.

Passive 2 - Death MirageDeath Mirage is another amazing ability and what makes Scarlet Blaze the great little trickster that he is. It adds to your support by removing more debuffs while also giving you more chakra. This passive is the best one for the control style gameplay. We will get into more details in the gameplay section.

Team Member *ysis

Hinata - Hinata provides a front line for the team, as well as the main reason why she is in this control team: Sealed Point Palm Strike. This move can only be comboed into off repulse but it gives your opponent the acupuncture status. Acupuncture makes the opponent unable to use chakra skills for 3 rounds.

Ino - Ino is your healer/Control assistant. Her chase skill allows her to combo off of Scarlet's feather illusion jutsu attack and gives the opponent Chaos status. Her mystery jutsu also allows you to control an opponent of your choice! Right off the bat, Ino can render two of your opponents helpless for one round. If Scarlet Blaze attacks before the opponent in the first rank does, she can render an opponent helpless for possible the entire game!

4th - I chose sasuke here because of his combo potential. As stated earlier He can combo off of Dragon Flame Jutsu and brings his own repulse. He c*so add to the team with his Kirin. With Kirin he adds in another source of AoE dmg while also powering up himself and Hinata with the first activation. But Sasuke is not the only member who can fit into this slot. Kakashi is another good one to use, as well as Shikamaru (if you have Ninja Dog Shiba summon).

General GameplanThe general gameplan is to assassinate and control your opponents high damage dealers/combo starters while also controlling the team members who can prevent you from doing so (healers, debuff removers, etc.)

Typical Gameplay
Round 1 - Always start off using Hinata's mystery. It deflects most of the standard attacks she receives barring clones & puppets. It also gives you a bit of breathing room to *yze your opponents team and figure out who you want to control with Ino and who you want to kill first with your combo. Before round 1 ends you should try to control someone using Inos mystery (You get the extra chakra you need from the Death Mirage passive). If you don't know who to control, you can never go wrong with a healer.
Round 2 - After you choose who you want to control, start firing away at them with Dragon Flame Jutsu. After Dragon Flame jutsu into your combo, the opponent you selected will be afflicted with acupuncture and whatever statuses are in your combo. If your 4th character has a mystery available to use after Death Mirage, you can feel free to fire that off too, or wait until Dragon Flame Jutsu goes on cooldown.
Round 3 and beyond - After the second round, you typically will spend the rest of the match picking off the opponents with low health, use your mystery jutsus whenever they are available and keep hammering on the control to ensure that the opponent is at your mercy.


Tips and Tricks
Free Dragon Flame Jutsu - The chaos status does not actually last 1 round, it lasts until the end of the round when the afflicted character attacks their team members. With this knowledge in mind you can control a member turn 1 after their attack has already been completed and their chaos will carry over into turn 2, which will allow you to get off a free Dragon Flame Jutsu on the opponent of your choice! I typically use this trick against people I know for a fact outspeed my Scarlet Blaze (Higher leveled players, higher power, etc).

So far yes, it works in the higher levels. I'm currently at level 65 in my server and I've been able to beat a few people who are level 67. The only difference I use in my current team is Shikamaru as my 4th for added control.

  • This looks great. I'm gonna try this when I reached level 55 since Death Mirage is vital to the gameplan. What chase do you use with sasuke?
I use the fireball for the ignite, but with Sasuke you c*e any of the 3 chase abilities.

Since you're at level 38, I would recommend just using the standard Team 7 for now. It's pretty basic and gives you everything you need for the early game.

Shikamaru adds to the setup with additional control with his Mystery and Chase skill, which also combo into Ino. He c*so combo into his chase after Hinata does her control!

Kakashi adds to the setup by being able to inflict paralysis with his chase skill, preventing the afflicted enemy from using their chase skill. He also gives you a clone, which slightly adds to the sustain of the team.

  • i tryed it out dosent realy work good for me . It gets countered by water main they disable Ino , and her mystic goes off way to late by that time enemy nukes my team hard .
Usually when I'm up against characters that can nuke I chaos them during the first turn after they attack and then control them further with my combo in the next turn. One of the hard counters I've run into is Kabuto.

With Shikamaru the lineup is the same. It just uses him as your 4th character and Ninja Dog Shiba as the summon.

  • any updates for a good formation for higher levels?
For the higher levels I've been using characters like Ao for a more offensive control style. I haven't really updated the guide because getting him is pure luck. In my own server only one other person has him.
