I have Han, Water Main, Roshi, Sailor Sakura and Cloud meta just destroys my team. Either Roshi dies in 1 round in Arena or Roshi dies round 1 in Arena against cloud team. (This was against LM though). Clearing buffs "help", but still need to get rid of the barrier which I haven't been able to do. Doesn't matter if Roshi is in Position 1 or 2.

But its a hit or miss when going into Ranked Arena, I got up to Super Kage rank going through 46-50 going back to 46. Capped at 54 though.

If you have more initiative than I do, then you should be fine.

You may have to go experimental Ninjutsu to counter Roshi dying in arena in round 1. But then you lose Poison Tai.

"Isn't the goal of ranked arena to win, despite how long the battle last?" Ideally, but when roshi dies, the team falls apart :L

Would it still be fair to think Roshi's ignite would still do minimal damage while experimentation lets me heal every other round? May not be enough damage though.

Experimentation also synergises with Sailor's mystery, and you can have an AoE healing every round as both of them heal every other round. "Poison Tai is basically a must cause that is where most of your damage comes from."

"In what ways does your Roshi die by round 1?" Samui Mystery on Roshi round 1. LM use Assassination Blade Talent to always attack Roshi since it has the Least HP Chases happen and 3rd Raikage kills Roshi if not the extra attacks from LM will.

"Does he still die despite using experimentation?" I never used that talent as I stated Poison Tai is a must since it is where your damage comes from.

"How about SWB? Obviously, non-arena battles are a different story. Did you still get owned by cloud meta teams in SWB?" I don't participate in SWB as I only end up feeding, also rewards are mediocre.

Yeah I was running Neurotoxin, sadly they had more initiative than me and with no damage mystery round 1, have to wait for round 2. But thats pointless cause Roshi dies. Whom is mooded in life and my main as well. But moods don't matter in Arena sadly.
