From what i see your team is not balanced but anyway after 4.0 water main gets good buff so you can still enjoy it.

If you are asking for help with formation then post a screenshot will all your current ninjas and summons.

There is several reasons why you're not doing so well. Here are some: First, most likely based on the power relatively to your level, you did not level freeze earlier enough or you did not at all. Level freezing means you didn't stop entirely or slow down the leveling process of your main character so that you focus on increasing power before even thinking of leveling. Generally, someone who level froze should be a little higher that hasn't spent their coupons on power should be around 41k+.

Were you saving your seal scrolls from the beginning and spending on treasures you know to get characters you want for sure i.e. roshi, han? Researching via the forums and watching youtube vids is one way to figure out which ninjas to go after. In terms of coupon farming, how active do you play and do you know where to find all the sources freely in the game? It's ok you didn't know these things before since several people have made this mistake and decided to either * with their original server that they started or start on a new server with a new strategy.

1. Power does not come from ninja but from initiative and other main stats.

2. 38k power at lvl 80 is below average, so i suggest doing more refinement and charms before u level up.

3. Your lineup is really bad, at least get a sage naruto, that should help you alot.

His team isn't even cancerous. Poison does not automatically equal cancerous.

I'd love to get Sage Naruto, but there's really no way for me to do that without spending money on scrolls and such. I guess I could start from scratch and save my seals, but I don't want to lose my progress, so I guess I'll sit stagnant for a while.

Refinement and charms I do as often as I possibly can, but I seem to have awful luck with getting them to actually take. More often than not, it takes me the full Wish Credits bar to upgrade one level.

I did not level freeze at all, no. Didn't know that was a thing to do. And sadly, no, I wasn't saving my scrolls from the get-go, because I had no idea that they were so hard to get without spending money. It takes me about a month to get 10 of them backed up, so I guess I should start doing that now? And no, I don't know all the free sources of coupons in the game. I know that the Ninja Test can give them to you, and the wishing tree, and a few other places like the 9Tails world boss, but that's about it. Convoy SS Rank and plunder, too.

I really don't want to start over, as I said above. I'd lose all my progress, and my friends and group and everything.

Well from the list of ninjas you provided, I saw those three provide the best synergy. Of course, you said you want a team that does "hits hard" but I can't provide a reliable team that offers what you want with what you have since they lack the synergy or very few that can nuke. At the moment, focus on getting those sage naruto frags and switch to wind main to make a team with gaara since gaara becomes a lot stronger than he is even after his bufff after the recent update.

being f2p and not owning mei/chojuro/sailor sakura etc... aren't things linked together.

one f2p team for azure fang is han, roshi, sailor sakura, but judging on what you said you consider it a p2w lineup.

I second the notion of going for skillbreaking kurenai. The chaos chase is ridiculously helpful.

But you can probably supplement roshi for kimimaru and sage naruto with normal naruto and frog summon. The reason it worked well is because the tank gets a lot of support from having a debuff reflected off of them because of kurenai and heals, but then naruto can start a combo and end up with that target being chaosed round 2, or if you cheese and skillbreak kurenai's basic attack to chaos. Focusing down whatever seems to be an issue right away usually does the trick, such as multi attackers and damaging mysteries.

As for battle power, I'm going to take a shot in the dark and suggest you start hammering those brothers team instances, thats how I went from the high 40s to mid 50s over a few weeks.

That's why I asked if OP planned out which characters and he responded that he did not save seal (meaning he blinding spent them as he leveled) and most likely spent coupons on other things. So he suffered due to not knowing what he should be doing. Also, trying to get mei and chojuro is a bit risky especially if you started playing within the past 6-7 months since the rare rate is 1/8. Even if he knew about it, I doubt he would want the immortal with roshi and han since he said he wants a more blitz team, which *s since getting mei is a 1/8 chance and for someone who wants to be competitive quickly is a drag. .

What Danzo said. It's less that I consider them p2w, and more that I just plain haven't been lucky enough to get them. If I had Chojuro, I'd be using him. Same for Mei. I'm not really a fan of Sailor Sakura, but I can see her appeal. He's right, though: I want a blitz team, not an immortal healers team.

Where or how do I get Kurenai's skill books? I'd like to skill break her, but the only ones I have available right now are Neji's. And Sasuke's are coming up through December's daily login thing.
