Generally speaking, if a talent replaces a standard attack, then it is no longer a standard attack.

This is evident by the interaction those replaced attack have with "anti-standard-attack" effects like taunt and evasion (hinata, kimmimaru etc), those replaced attacks will bypass those effects and always hit.

It makes sense, therefore, for lateral to behave the same way, that is to say that it is no longer a standard. Unless you can provide actual evidence that suggests the contrary (you claim that's not how it works in CN/germany, so show us videos)

Interesting... thou it's worth to note that the one in the video is skillbroken, and lateral is a skill with breakthrough available, That might be the cause of the difference.

That said, it shouldn't, as both (unbroken/broken) are "replace standard", but it could be... somehow....
