Two replacements for darui can be utakata and yugito nii. Utakata pro is that adds poison with chase, let start roshi chase as much as darui and let you eventually start it with a lucky 10 combo standard if your main gets interrupted and is immune to debuffs, but don't add paralysis. Yugito nii doesn't let you start the chaos chase combo but add ignition and gets shielded by flower barrier and if dies resurrects, so you can place her where you want, and let you use dance of impetus with clones since her standard attack is 90% sure 10 combos, so you get a second strike of roshi that gives you back the chaos chase you lost and a second shield from kurenai. Obviously with utakata you swap him and kurenai place and with yugito nii a good option is to put her in front of kurenai to add more survivability.

Yugito nii version works better than darui's agaist azure fang healing setups while utakata version with sand dust works slightly worse than the darui version against the masked man teams you talked about but works better than the darui version against blitz mb teams, also cloud ones. So is up on what you meet more often.

problem with replacing darui with utakata, is that you end up with a 29 combo if your initial starter is 10.

So need to time your skills accordingly if you want to make the 30 combo to hit.
