So that it will save me the trouble of getting my mysteries cancelled because their position one is faster than mine, cuz if i know that they have higher initiative I would just wait for them to pop their mystery and use mine after.
I don't think there's any possible way of knowing if you're opponent has better initiative or not, besides when the buffs are started to be applied.
Like Darui's barrier buff. Iruka's shield buff. Guy's taijutsu buff, etc. and etc.
But don't take my word for it. I'm not so sure

I dont use barrier thats why i dont know if my opponent has higher
when u'r opponent (move 1) attack 1st with standard attack, that mean u'r opponent have higher initiative than u'r.
Just as Madworld told. First check is barrier, whoever wins barrier has higher OVERALL initiative. If there is no barrier, check whose passives load fast. The team whose passives load last has higher overall initiative. If your team has no passives and barrier, then i dont think you can find who has higher overall initaitive. Apart from overall initiative, each position initiative is important since you specially mentioned you dont want your moves to be cancelled. You will need one round to learn this, so the first round will anyway be guess work. Just observe whoever is making standard attack first in each of the four positions, definitely those people will also do mystery first.
You can know if your global initiative is higher than your enemy's one by looking at the buffs/shields/clones before round 1. If they are applied before the enemy's ones then your global initiative is lower than his own, but there's not much you can do to know if the enemy 1st prompt move is faster than your own before round 1.

The passive part is not true.
Passives activate in the order you put down the ninjas not their initiative.
For example, I put Naruto as move 1 and has 100 initiative and then I put Iruka as move 2 with 90 initiative, Iruka will use his shield and damage buff before Naruto summons his clones.
Edit: Nevermind. I misunderstood what tattu was saying about the passives
