How does everyone make sure they use their counters efficiently. I enjoy the existence of interrupts, especially as an earth main. Unfortunately, I find that about half of the time my counter gets wasted. Either their jutsu goes off first (despite me being in the first position) because Jutsu's trigger instantly. There's really no chance for you to respond, I've found, unless there's another jutsu queued up in the chain or you turn yourself to auto on the turn you expect to want to counter.

Is there a better way to do things that I'm not practicing?

Also, I really wish there was a jutsu phase. Some window to process the turn or some window for counters.

Right of course. The issue is, it will also pop before they trigger an ability. So, if you use your interrupt and they wait to use their jutsu, you do 1k damage and interrupt nothing. But if they wait. and then trigger their jutsu it fires instantly. There's no window to counter unless it's a jutsu that replaces attack.

I understand how the stack works. But if an opponent uses a prompt jutsu and there are no other jutsu on the stack it fires instantly. It only checks once to see if there are other Jutsu being case. If there are, the animation waits and you have time to counter. If there are no other Jutsu on the stack it will fire immediately. Regardless of position.

That means in order to counter you have to predict not only *If and Who* but also When. Because if someone wants to stop you from using stone fist on a particular jutsu they can just wait till it's in the middle of the turn. This will even stop Auto counters because if the game senses nothing to interrupt but you have the chakra for a jutsu it will use it on nothing. Then you're free to get off your Chiyo revive or whatever with no counter threat.

But essentially, no, I'm not missing some secret tech? It's basically the window is extremely small unless there is a stack currently in action?

Does that mean that non-acupuncture interrupts are pretty weak since it requires extreme finesse and some exceptional mind games to trigger reliably?
