I thought Poison Tai only applies if you actually manage to LAND a hit/mystery on your enemy? Even when my Jonin Minato and Masked Man manage to dodge a Roshi who uses his mystery the Poison still applies. Why would this happen when a Standard Attack that is evaded by both of them do not apply poison but even when Roshi's mystery is evaded the Poison still applies?
Because otherwise those ninjas would be too strong and would have no counter. The code is written that way, infact a chase or a standard attack don't apply it, but a tai/nin mystery does. What actually mystery evasion do, in comparison with common evasion, is to avoid the mystery, but not evental secondary effects li

First of all there is no such thing as "no counter".There is always a way to beat a team no matter how "OP" or "broken" it may seem. All it takes is a little creativity to figure out what set of ninjas work against that lineup.Secondly how do you know that the code is written that way,do you work for Oasis and have seen the code to know for sure that is how it was meant to be? And from what I've seen so far from testing a little bit with Chojuro and Roshi who's mystery is Tai/Nin it only applies the poison debuff IF you did not target that mystery ON Minato/Masked Man.So if you were aiming for the other 2 ninjas in the opponents lineup it would apply the poison debuff on both of them but if you were to target Minato it will only apply poison on Masked Man and vice versa so that shoots down your theory of "What actually mystery evasion do, in comparison with common evasion, is to avoid the mystery, but not eventual secondary effects li

nothing besides water mains poison tai applies effects if the ninja dodges the attack, 9tails naruto for example does ignite on attack, but that wont be applied if the ninja dodges it, so why should poison tai still be applied? those 2 ninjas can be countered in many ways, such as by ignoring them and killing the supporters first then picking them off, or by burning the dodge with a weak aoe standard like fire mains 4th standard and then comboing them.
poison tai shouldnt be applied when the ninja dodges the attack, nothing else in the game does get applied because it defeats the purpose of dodge in the first place
