Well, considering you shouldn't be doing it alone... this is good?

Doing it as a team with only group members gives increased reward. All the ranking do is giving people an ego boost. We have 0 people on the ranking with quite a few finished with it, because we prefer actual useful reward.

I did it with 2 others, all 3 of us ftp. Now, we lost a few times when we were unfamiliar with the mechanic. But by the end (4th to 7th run), we only have 0-2 death each run, usually 1 due to 3rd hokage (the delay on mystery is bad due to the chases and animations, we have an interrupt but only managed to interrupt him twice out of the 7 successful runs)

So it's fine. If the ptw want a ego trip, let them. But for the average player, just do it in a team. It's not that hard.

(P.S. Gakido is REALLY good for this. Because they, especially minato, hurts you much more when you are tagged.)

  • Not sure what you mean. On my server everyone does it alone. No one does SA in teams. It's always been that way.

Ever since the Group instance SA merge, SA reward structure have changed

1. If you do it in a team with only group members, you get an extra attempt with extra rewards.

2. For each group member in your team, each fight you get slightly more group tokens and group contribution.

Considering the update that merged the two is only a bit over a month old, I'm not entirely sure what is the scope of your "always"

  • I thought you only get the team rewards for only 1 try?

The group special is once only, however, if you look at the reward rubric, you will see the REGULAR reward, the reward that you gain for every attempt, increases with number of group mate in team.

  • That is only for the group rewards I would assume, why else would they have an extra attempt totaling 7?

Here is some visual aid:

The stuff in yellow is what you are talking about

The stuff in red is what I'm talking about.

For the EXTRA group run, on top of the stuff in red, you receive extra reward, the stuff in yellow.

But for EVERY run, you receive the reward in red. And as it is, the more group member you have in team, the more the reward for this red part.

  • He was being helpful while being disrespectful at the same time. How would you feel if someone said here's a hearing aid. The sound naruto is Nar-ru-to?

Do you realize that it is the 3rd post in this thread trying to explain what the extra reward is? (My 4th overall, 1st only said that it's there, didn't elaborate)

As it were, if you already understood from the first two, great, you have good reading comprehension skills. That post, therefore, is not for you and you shouldn't be offended.

If you haven't, I'm sorry but you NEED a picture. And that picture IS visual aids. I'm just calling it what it is and am not sugar coating it. I'm never one for them "political correct" and "sensitivity" stuff. Disrespectful you say? Sure, to those people I am. But do you realize that respect is earned, not freely given? Do you think those people who, for some reason or other, failed to understand TWO of my attempts at explaining the matter, have earned my respect?

So no, I'm not going to tell random people they need a hearing aid at the start. But if I try to talk to them and they hear nothing/don't listen, THEN I'm going to tell them to get hearing aid.

I always try to be nice at first and might try a few more times again. But if getting sarcastic or snippy is what it takes for people to understand (because those, unfortunately, is more attention grabbing then plain old explanations), that's what I will resort to.

I mean, just look at Snipes post right before you. I'm not sure if he just didn't finish reading the thread, didn't pay much attention to details, couldn't express his thoughts properly or whatever. But, at least based on what he said, he still don't get it. Do you understand that I don't understand that how could anyone not understand it after all that? It's VERY frustrating. I have no idea what could possibly be wrong and therefore have no idea on how to help them.

PS: It is also my intention to get players to look closer at in-game explanations. I mean if players have a feeling of "Am I missing anything? Am I right about this? if I'm not, that one person is going to scream at me on the forum. Let me take a closer look" before posting and thus take a closer look before writing then it would be awesome! Do you know how frequently player report "bugs" that aren't bugs simply because they don't know the feature? Do you know how much that undermines the community because it trains the mods to be dismissive of our complaints because they are often not valid?
