I agree, this is much needed, especially in the current state of the game. Desolated servers, lack of competition etc. With the speed servers are being merged it's just not enough to keep the game from dying. I also can't understand why they wouldn't allow to switch servers. I mean if someone with 100k power would like to join newly opened server then yes it shouldn't be possible. But I don't see any reason why they couldn't join a server with on par with his power. Plus it should be possible to switch to the different region server for people who started in the wrong timezone but are too far in the game to start over on the correct.
