Okay Tobei i held off on cursing and still will. How about you tell us how GNW tournament matching is figured out. Because pt rankings sure isn't how it is done. Random is sure how it is not done. So an answer on how it is decided would be nice. 3 weeks in a row of exact same round 1 matchups, 2 of those weeks exact same possible 3 round matchups doesn't seem like it is being done fairly. I did not feel like screen shotting or keep getting upload timeout messages over and over for ones i did have. You can log into S-185 and ask everyone there and corroberate what i'm saying.
And if this is the wrong thread please move it to the correct one.
Thanks for your time
Hi Chaos,
Sorry for being busybody. But im sure they wont reveal how it works for the matching for the finals in GNW as ppl will try to abuse the system.
Yes, i do feel you as i have been in the same situation before (meeting the top 2 grp:Top grp 3 times a row,2nd grp 4 times a row). The grp that im in has the potential of getting 2nd place IF RNG favor us XD
We can only pray for more grps for GNW (currently 7 grps in GNW) and RNG help us XD
Much better thread. Congratulations on maintaining composure. Still, needs work, but I'll gladly reply with the progress you've made.
GNW Points are irrelevant to its matchmaking. It's only to determine which teams progress to the next round.
As for the matchmaking itself, It's indeed random. Do remember that the randomize numbers are noticeable depending on a number of teams attending GNW.
Without large numbers, the odds of the same teams combating each other is pretty high. Just in terms of mathematics.
Hopefully, that satisfies your curiosity, but I have a feeling that it's not what you wanted to hear.

only 6 groups.
But still it shouldn't be everyone in round 1 fighting the same groups 3x in a row and the same 2 groups getting free pass to round 2 3x in a row. and i stated 2 of those times it was exact same bracketing for the fights all the way through. It seems like there is a glitch going on with that.
just saying if it were just our 1 group getting consistently matched up it would be done on a random variable equation like this for 1 week 6 possible outcomes for us 1:6(5 other groups and a free pass) 2nd week the odds get multiplied by 6 again 1:36 chance, 3rd week in a row chance gets multiplied by 6 again 1:216 (for us to meet same team 3 weeks in a row doesn't seem very random)
Now for all 6 groups to have the same matchups in round 1 it is a 6x5 chance for week 1 so a 1:30 chance, 2nd week multiply x6 x5 x4, x3 x2(for determining each possible outcome) so a 1:21600 chance, 3 weeks same setup is a 1:15552000 chance. .
and the odds become astronomically more for the 2 weeks where the bracket placement was identical 2 weeks same brackets odd 21600 x 4 = 1:86400
Thanks for the response. I appreciate your comment really as i am sure it is the information you received
