Actually, it just depends who you use for your Empress Build. I have used replacements for Kurenai and Karin (GNW Sai and GNW Sakura) and it worked even better than the original by giving GNW Sakura and GNW Sai's summon-able meat shields and a lot of high-quality healing (from GNW Sakura's slugs) with some immobility (GNW Sai) to go with Hinata's acupuncture.
