    I'm pretty sure there was some reason to delete particular threads, but I can't really tell, because of lack of any information.

I agree with this guy that you should not close threads when people are asking for help. I know you use PM's to do it but you would be better off letting other see the fix for their problem. This way people can just do a search and hopefully fix w/e they need help with themselves or at least save you some time by trying a few things before they make a post about it.
