Gai is really helpful for his team, since he gives Life Regen. for Taijutsu attacks, so Lee, Neji, and TenTen (of any kind) are good match ups. So get Gai levelled and Awakened as best as you can.

You could go Gai, whose Standard can trigger H.Float which leads to Super Primary Lotus H.Float -> L.Float.
Main's Water Dragon. L.Float -> Repulse
TenTen GNW Bashosen Earth Skin Repulse -> H. Float
Main White Tiger H.Float -> Repulse
TenTen GNW Bashosen Earth Skin Repulse -> H.Float
and then...I guess you could go with Sasuke who will go through his combos of Chidori H.Float -> L.Float, Flame Jutsu L.Float -> Repulse. With all this it will trigger the 10 combos of Sasuke's Dragon Flame Jutsu and TenTen GNW's Heaven Lightning

As for everything else...mix and match with the passives, I guess. find what works for you. I ain't the absolute best, but if I use TenTen GNW, I usually pair her with Gai, bottom line. I'd focus on getting frags and getting both TenTen and Gai's Ninja Bond up too :D

Well I mean, if someone is trying to run GWN Tenten, Mabui, Mei and water main, and lets say you don't have Mei.

The best replacement for her that i've found is Ginkaku, yes the 2 star. Him and Mei have the same chase, Knockdown into low float. Another good replacement would be Ao or Darui.
