Not sure if its "lazy translators" on the ignore res/def part. Look at his whole kit.

germany/china:

Mystery takes away buffs/shields, then immobilizes.

-12% atk/nin for jinchuurikis in both fields.

here:

immobilizes. mystery instantly kills the enemy if he/she is the last one standing. (propably not instakill per say, but really heavy dmg like hiruzen so possible to survive- thats my quess)

+25% dmg for jinchuuriki in ur own team.

Now the real question is if its translate error or different kit, because the kit we have is garbage.

If anyone already got him, could you please test his mystery vs anyone with shields/buffs? EG. vs lightning main with root. Im sure a lot of people wanted to buy this ninja for this reason.

Its a misstranslation.

It does as you say, reduced the attk of jinchuuriki units by 12%. Mystery removes buffs/shields and immobilizes. Chase immobile and ehavy damage (maybe ignore defense, hard to tell).

I have it and have tested it against MB with LA
