• when you deposit something, It usually means you can withdraw them back usually with a few advantage/dividents, That is what most people who hear deposit and rewards think in the first place. I honestly though that was the case but I have no idea to find out since I don't spend in this.
  
  IMO, they should have call it something like Investment or seed money or something similar to that...
  
  Conclusion: they are technically true, but sligthly misleading and what I think is a poor choice of words
