1＃ Go ToSo as it stands now a player cannot receive their ranking rewards in arena unless they have reached max rank. Before the cross server arena this was much easier to achieve due to players having much more fair compititon, and need be even had the option for win trading. But now especially at higher ranks the average player just gets outclassed with better ninjas and refines.
Players feel like there is no point in climbing the arena ranks, because they won't get the reward they worked so hard for if they don't get the max rank for the first time.
Now let me just get this straight, this post isn't someone complaining that they can't get max rank, I have already reached Sannin Six Paths before the cross server system. I am just a group leader that have seen many of my members complain about this feature, and I agree that it is a flaw in the system. If a player gets the kage rank they should get the kage reward, not the student reward.

The thing is, if they are getting full reward, then their rank need to be reset. Otherwise they can just sit in super kage and get almost max reward every month for almost no effort (just need to lose a few fights to make sure they don't get bumped to six path from the stars in the reward)
As it currently stands, most players who have been six path before have a hard time getting a good amount of reward, most stopping at kage or below. It would be, therefore, very unfair for people to get super kage every time easily.
So no, you can't just give them the best of both world, it's one or the other, keep rank or get reward. And as it's only one of the two, making it an individual choice is the best way to go about it.
Thats what I meant.
Lets say they get to kage they would get 48 Random Frags, 24 Random Strong Frags, 4 Seal Scrolls, and 8 rank points. So the next season they would start at (I think its) Gennin.
I never said to not reset them.... -

The rumor is, arena matching is not ba
sed on rank but ba sed on a combination of level, power and your current score.
Now, I don't know if this is true, but let's say it is.
If you can't go below 0, then you c*e a 0 score account to bump another account to say 4(whatever the maximal match range is), and use the 4 to bump another to 8(and as the 4 loses, use the 0 again to get it back to 4) and then 12 and so on. Therefore, through a dozen or so alt, you can get a char to six path. And this dozen or so alt doesn't even need to be from one person, it can be a collab between an entire group, server or even cross server basis so that every real player gets to six path easy.
On the other hand, if you can go below 0, then the 'first" account will soon become obsolete as it can no longer be matched with the next link. Now, you could raise more 0s, as that's what account starts off at. however, due to the level&power restrict, a newly made account might strain or cause a li nk to be decoupled on that front instead.
So overall, by having no score floor, it makes it much harder to use alts to get other accounts to high rank.
Of course, this is all my guess and is based on something that I'm not sure is true. However, it's about the only rational reason I can come up with.
That said, there is still the streak-climbing method, which I believe is still possible.
This is why while I would support a change in reward structure, as discussed above, I will not support removal of negative score UNTIL there is significant evidence that shows that it serves no actual purpose or a way to serve said purpose better without the punishing mechanics currently in place.
Honestly if someone is going through all that work just to win share, they deserve it lol -
