Context: So, there's an interesting problem on our server. Most of the higher power players (myself included) are all in one group. However, many of the group's players have since become inactive. As a result, the handful of us are only able to stay above 200 activity if ALL of us are playing everyday. So if someone goes offline for a day, it drags down the whole group and none us can participate in GNW.
We've tried bringing in players who belonged to smaller groups and new players, but the fact of the matter is, we no longer have the manpower to sustain the activity rate every week unless everyone is online.
The catch? We have the highest group level out of everyone on the server. So obviously, we don't want to just switch to a lower level group and lose out some group skill levels. So it would make sense to have the group join us, right? Well, they have a similar amount of people to us -which makes it a logistical nightmare - and I know none of them want that vulnerability period where they're outside a group.
So, finally my question. Is it possible for a group merger function to exist so long as certain conditions are met?
At the minimum:
the leaders of both groups agree
the sum of all members of both groups does not exceed the maximum player count of the group with the higher cap
the newly formed group may not perform another group merger for at least 30 days (essentially to prevent an igar.io situation)
all players on the server are informed of the merger to prevent confusion (the way a player is informed of a friend name change)
