In addition to potential internet lag, some lower end machine might also have an additional rendering lag. The game is... a bit heavy. If you are using a chromebook or something, there will be significant delay if any sort of chase was played out in the battle (granted, chance of there being a chase w/o mystery being casted/interrupted is a bit lower, but it could happen)
