When you double click a rune to unequip it, sometimes it gets eaten by the last rune you unequipped, unless both are locked.

This have been reported numerous times, the only answer they have ever given is to lock all of them. I don't think they intend to ever fix it when there is a workaround for the bug, reasonable or not.
