1＃ Go ToF2P here, ramblings beware
Typically I'll do theorycrafting and just pour resources into new teams/builds without testing them before commiting. Have enough frags for Tendo, still waiting to pop for 4star. Instead of going an akatsuki route for when skillbooks come around end of summer, figure I go with Curse/Sound. Though team Hebi and Orochimaru/Kabuto get books, sound 4 still get nothing or cs2 forms :< (Least Kimi got something). Went up to rank 170ish but started to drop back down after a couple days (226 :|)
Top - Tayuya, Sakon, Jirobo, Kidomaru
Mid - Karin, Sasuke, Jugo, Suigetsu
Bot - Earth main, Hebihime(Shield), Mei, Kabuto
Issues - Top gets no buffs it seems outside of Tayuya + Sakon from Mei. Might replace Jiro with Kimi since Sasuke already does manual barriers.
Mid - Figured Jugo would provide shielding outside of his box/team, sadly he does not :| He'll gain a bigger shield with mystery and immobile chase with skillbooks. Suigetsu gets 75% dmg heal on standard+mysteries, plus chance to dodge 1 standard, chase or mystery per round. I should stop at this point :|
Bot - Hebihime seems to have the same issues as Jugo? Buffing only those within her box. Mei was there just to see if barrier can * long enough to warrant buffs for 4 fires, 3 waters. Kabuto.. not really sure. When books do reach other ninjas I might keep Kabuto down bot with Orochimaru for the heals, single target damage etc.
Thoughts? Till books come around, would playboy sasuke do more for this team? Oro traitor, Snake Kabuto? :| Pack it up, never to be discussed again and just focus on Akatsuki? Go back to Konoha, Kages? <:3_56:>

If you want to go Sound teams, *ing to exact teams (ex Sound Four) isn't that good of an idea imo. In that top team you have multiple mysteries with higher chakra (Sakon's and Tayuya's) along with an earth buff from Jirobo that doesn't mesh with the rest of the team.
For a tanky sound team you could do Kabuto-Kidomaru-Kimimaro-Jugo or something like that I guess.
Hm... for an extra-attack team you could do Sakon, Suigetsu, earth main and... maybe...Mei, using the lightened boulder mystery (is that the one where everyone gets extra attacks?)
Sakon is one of only two characters who can pull off four attacks per turn if enabled by something like Killer Bee or Earth Main. Suigetsu will only do 3 attacks but he does pretty good damage as well.
But yeah, those are just a few general strategies that popped up in my head. Of course, take it as you will, if it doesn't go with your playstyle then just don't try to pu*. -

Yea I was just tampering with them weeks on and off. Recently got both hebihimes and figured why not? I forgot they count as the same unit so can't be used together. Their buffs aren't even global :@ Zaku was released but not Kin or Dosu? I just hope they'll release cs 2 sound 4 nins one day. Since cs/sound buffs can't be stacked outside of their own boxes unlike other nins its hard to scrap teams together especially since they don't provide much utility granted they are some of the first nins you get, if anyone could've used books it was them. :X -

True enough. Though they can make some pretty interesting teams, none of those really stand too consistently against meta teams...
I have a lot I could say about adding Dosu and Kin, but this isn't the place for it... yet. -
