@Slacker: the best way right now to spend points is to buy charm packs, not refinements. You are largely undervaluing the impact of them in the game. Leveling up the headband from level 4 to 5 or 6 is an huge boost of power, overall an huge boost of good power. If you have level 6 or 7 initiative runes there one level is more worth in term of initiative than 200 medium refinements and you also get hp vs close to useless secondary stats you get with refinement.
