Protip:

Not all status effects end when the turn is over.

Acupuncture, Poison, Ignition, Paralysis, Tag, these tend to end at the end of the turn (or at least count down) and apply their effects.

But Immobile or Chaos do not end at the end of the turn unless you've lost an action to them.

What this means is that using your Ino or Shikamaru at the BEGINNING of the turn will cause the enemy to lose their attacks/jutsu chance THAT TURN and just sit there. The effect will wear off at the end of the turn. But if you use these traits AFTER they attack (i.e. their turn has come) then the effect will carry over into the next round, allowing you to shutdown NEXT TURN'S jutsu or attacks.

Proper timing is very important to a control player. If your enemy has already performed their jutsu (usually because their initiative was higher or they were in the front row), using Shikamaru may be a waste as it only counters a single autoattack that round. But if you wait for them to attack then use Shikamaru, they will lose their chance to use a jutsu NEXT round, shutting down an annoying person's predicted jutsu and potentially giving the enemy nothing to cast that turn. This is especially effective against Fire ninja mains.

PS - Immobile also causes automatic defense like Neji or Hinata's rotation or Kimimaro's bone wall to shut off.

  • blind is for standard attack.. they c*e mystery and chase.. not OP.. zabuza *s.. even your team will be blinded by his skill..
Zabuza doesn't *, that ability will be more useful later when standard attacks are important again. Currently it's just a way to deal with certain Midnight Blade setups.

Really though, look at the status effects...

Paralysis stops Chase
Blindness stops Attack
Ignition stops Healing AND deals damage.
Acupuncture stops Jutsu FOR THREE TURNS!
Immobile stops EVERYTHING including Defensive passives!!
Chaos stops everything and makes you hit your own team!!!!! AND it might carry over to the next round if cast late, preventing you from using a Jutsu!!!!!!

The only reason Paralysis and Blind seem so weak in comparison is because they shutdown a type of attack that happens almost every turn, preventing minimal damage but potentially stopping a combo from either continuing or STARTING.

Poison does damage and stacks with itself but it's the real sad panda of the group. Not very special at all.

Also you're missing a status effect. The Celestial Prison whatever one that Fire mains can put.
