All of the mains will have a "meta" team involving Roshi. The only one that doesn't have an obvious one for Roshi is the Fire Main.

Water main has Hokage Tsunade (or Kabuto), Sailor Sakura, Water Main, Roshi.
Lightning main has Killer B, Cursed Hidan, Lightning Main, Roshi
Earth main has Killer B, Kazekage Gaara, Earth Main, Roshi.
Wind main is literally anything with Roshi + Dance of Impetus.

What are the teams with Roshi and Hidan?

fire main with roshi, hanzo and bee/han (when he comes out) is actually a thing. especially because fire main can hit that 30hit combo more likely than any other main, except for wind maybe.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but only one of the mains actually get a meta team in 2.0 version. Roshi will also not break the current meta team dominance. He is not a magical "I win" ninja.

Roshi in 2.0 is too squishy for immortal team with our current damage formula. Immortal teams are not good in the first place against meta teams. The only relevant teams they counter are the susanoo teams... 4tail naruto or kimimaro does a far better job for that slot due to being tanky enough to actually not die.

Roshi and black hidan do not synergize effectively in 2.0 either. You are better off running another booster for black hidan and not using roshi at all. What you get is just and expensive ninja mash up that doesn't actually do that great.

Earth gains the roshi meta team. He is now viable without going into deep blue whale territory. Earth also has the tools to actually keep roshi alive (somewhat) and allow him to stack up. The team does great against wind meta, evenly against lightning meta, poorly against water meta. It is a meta viable and competitive team, but it will not dominate as many people wants to believe.

Wind does not have a roshi meta team either. You are better off staying with sage naruto, who hit significantly harder due to wind enhance and is a fair bit more tanky. Roshi is unlikely to actually live to round 3 to mystery a second time with wind main. If you do want to use roshi, earth get you a far better result.

Roshi will get better in the future with version 3.0, but until then, he is unfortunately too squishy to create a new meta.

Yes Roshi is very susceptible to Blitz. But, Roshi is a very well known counter to the immortal team as he gains more damage over time, making it easier to burst down an immortal team that focus on surviving 10 rounds rather than damage. He also has immune to counter the water tai passive.

The meta right now can be divided into these categories:
Immortal: Earth/Water with Sailor/5th hokage/any good tank.
Burst: Lightning/Fire/Water/Wind
Blitz: Lightning/Water

In competitive gameplay Lightning Blitz is very situational since it cannot be played passively because Wind main counters it too hard. Water Blitz is better but also very easy to be countered so the top 2 are Immortal and Burst team. Immortal is not a "counter to Susanoo team" because they are made to survive everything and just live as long as possible. In this matter, any immortal team with SA is good against Itachi SSN since they cannot be combo'd from his standard. But if other Burst teams cannot focus them down in the first 3 turn they would gain the upper hand too. Because of this Immortal team is usually the "passive player" while burst team are usually the "aggressive player" who comes later and must find a way to counter the enormous heal that every immortal team has.

Hidan 2 is a very good counter against immortal team since he always has tons of damage even without the needs of buff, so he won't become useless after the first 3 turns. It is always a good option to use hidan 2 + bee against immortal team and a Roshi for 2nd round burst, taking out one of their ninja. And even if that fail you can just do it again since Hidan won't die, Roshi and Bee don't get poisoned and always get enough health back from their atk so you can just try again if you fail, your time will not be limited to the first 3 turns.

Finally about the weakness to blitz, Han will take care of that. His sole appearance will stop any attention at blitzing so roshi will have his safe place ;P

Damage formula differences. Roshi dies quickly to lightning blitz team and mabui 1010 before he can even do much in the current 2.0 version. Roshi will actually survive long enough for his passive to stack up in 3.0, allowing him to break the kage barrier meta teams.

Roshi + han in our current version = free food team ;P
