Unless you are one of bigger spenders on your server/server cluster it's better only go for ninjas that are key to your builds and spend rest on power, mainly Initiative, or you will start falling behind top guys.

As Dym has said unless you are a pretty decent spender I would * with power even if you are a low spender just power. You will get a lot of good ninja just from treasures especially now with edo treasure you can make the meta mei 1010 mabui team for next to nothing now, same thing if you exchange frags can make the meta light blitz team. Both of these teams are extremely strong and you will find most spenders medium to high still run these teams as they are just so strong (I am talking servers at about 6 months of age possibly older ones). As a medium spender who has focused a lot on ninja collection I would suggest just to go power, those super rare ninja may be shiny but a lot of them are no better than common ninja in this current meta. Is harder to beat a power gap than a ninja gap.

It depends on you, I mean for example hanzo is obtainable after about a good 6 or 7 events with his fragments. Free players can easily get up to 15 without paying per event.

But most do it is. Say theres refines&threads.

I feel that little burden too, though Dym is pretty much correct. Get the power , if you see a ninja that you Need for a specific build only, you can hold off for one event to grab it, unless it pops up elsewhere and you think you could wait a cycle or two.

Most of time I chose power over frags.

First thing first, you really need to calculate if those ninja frags are worth to redeem by points. There may be other events that those are cheaper. As usual, you either ask people in the forum or look for it they will tell you if it's worth to redeem.

I've been collecting Hanzo over time though. I think that's only ninja I've been collecting other than refine.

What I like so far for this event and previous one that they both have med refine. In 2 events I've collected over 100 med refine. I like back-to-back events where you just keep collecting until Refinement event comes.
